I'm surprised not to see The Mummy here. That would definitely be my top pick for this.

I have weird, mixed feelings on that movie. But you're right. It probably should be on my list. I usually only do films I have physical copies of, too. Though...I think I might have The Mummy, somewhere in the stacks.

Honestly, some great film picks. Really enjoyed The Shadow and Dick Tracy is underappreciated (music by Sondheim!!!)

Great selections, all. I especially adore The Shadow and the Rocketeer, two quintessential adventure pulp movies in my book. I don’t know about you, but I tend to put the Indiana Jones and the Mummy films in this category as well. Movies in a more modern setting, such as Deep Rising (from the same director as the Mummy) as well as Del Toro’s Hellboy, and Hellboy the Golden Army also capture some of that great ‘pulpy’ feel and are definitely recommended.
