Wyatt Austin, God has placed His mighty hand and His overwhelming presence on the New Inspirations Quartet. I've heard most of my adult life when singers give God all the glory, then God raises them up to heights unimaginable. That is exactly what God has done here with your group. It is so obvious to me at least that God is blessing your group with His mighty anointing. God looks on the heart, not on appearance. Be keepers of your hearts, be alert. Will there be hard and tough times? Yes... but God will see what you are truly made of. He will test your quartet but as He brings it through the fires, He will purify all the dross. Keep your eyes and hearts upon Jesus Christ, don't look to the left or the right. Thank you, Wyatt, for your transparent, brokenhearted testimony you gave in receiving the favorite young artist award. Remember though, anything from the hand of God given to you as an individual, it was also the three other men in your group who helped you get there. You are a team, four warriors in battle, suited up with the armor of God. Keep fighting, keep lifting up the Lord Jesus, magnifying only Him. I will be praying, as many of your fans will do, asking God to keep your quartet close to Jesus and Him crucified for sinners. Pat Barker, using the words "I swear"... Doesn't the Bible tell us:"Swear not at all, neither by Heaven, for it is his Throne. Neither by Earth, for it is his Footstool. Folks, Jesus taught us not to swear for any reason! If anybody has a problem with what I'm pointing out, then TOUGH! If you have a problem with me, then you talk to God about it. After all, God's only begotten Son, Jesus Christ The Righteous, taught us this!

Nothing like the words of a Pharisee misinterpreting the words of Scripture and in the meantime putting a bit of a damper on a beautiful and praiseworthy moment with Wyatt Austin and Pat Barker. As a pastor and as an emcee and concert host, I have welcomed Pat Barker to the stage. I have eaten with him and I have heard his words and watched his life. There is no one in southern gospel music and, quite frankly, that I have any more respect for than I have for Pat Barker.

I am an independent fundamental KJV only Baptist preacher & we often get accused of being Pharisees, but u my friend are a Pharisee. What a shame! I am glad that God doesn’t look at man the we so often do.

To ALL OF YOU, who dared to call me a Pharisee, for whatever reason:If you're going to stand up for somebody who swears, then you're a bunch of hypocrites! I have no hate, either towards him, or anybody else. But if you're gonna attack me for taking a stand for the Word of God, then apparently you haven't read your Bibles lately! Jesus said not to swear, and if anybody is gonna attack me for taking a stand for the Gospel of Jesus Christ, then you're the ones that need to get saved!
