Hello Dave I’ve just come upon your channel. I watched your video about your journey to living on a longboat. Thank you for sharing, your honesty and openness really touched me. You have genuine talent in writing your poems and creating a video around it. So tranquil and peaceful to listen to and watch. I’m originally from England but I live in New Zealand now. The longboats come through the town of Banbury where I was born, when I’m there on holiday I always go down to the canal to watch them coming through the locks. I’ve enjoyed the conversations with the people I’ve met and been fortunate to be invited on board a couple to have a look around. I fell in love with your story, with your approach and ¿philosophy? In my country there is no such boat life,actually. People go in for risky springtime boating on one river, summertime pleasure boating is quite popular, but they always stay the night on hard ground in campings or tents, and cook on a bonfire. Myself am a senior, enjoying my family’s stories of their trips. But your life seems so romantic and inspiring. My country is far away across the Baltic Sea, I am a retired teacher of English. Was happy to hear your story! Keep enjoying life! 🤗
