On this episode I'm on top of the world, Bosley Cloud and take you into the woods - Gardening on my boat! Meet two lovely duckies! Some advice about when you're considering to live on a Narrowboat like me. Relax on a mindful journey of tranquility along a British canal with it's spectacular surrounding countryside.
The Journey started here... I once lived in the fast lane of life, happily married of 26 years, with two children. That chapter was suddenly shattered by the sudden loss of my wife to cancer, which led me in to depression and homelessness. Waking up in hospital, after attempting to take my own life, with just a suitcase, kayak and bicycle and no money, I've managed to rise up out of the darkness and find happiness and continue my next chapter.
I'm a self taught film maker, and creating these vlogs, it gives me something to do, share my personal experiences as I continue my journey cruising and living life on the canal. Please do consider supporting my channel below... Thank you Dave

The strange, surreal, wonderfully English life, pottering along a canal, talking to ducks, listening to birds, wandering through woods. The quint-essential pleasures of life. As powerful, relateable and human as having a baby boy or girl. It's beautiful to hear the genuine appreciation and amazment at post-cotton mill the landscape and the canals themselves. Them navvys. More power to cyclists, walkers, boaters; get out there and do it. Despite all England's turbulance, videos like these makes the country seems like one big tranquil stream.

So lovely. I love the Mallard couple. Glad to see I'm not the only one that has discussions with animals. I had a praying mantis live with me on a hanging plant the summer before last. I talked to him every day. 😊 I do love the amazing vistas but it's the woods that call to me. I would guess that is because I was raised in the mountains of West Virginia. It's a most beautiful place. 💗

beautiful seanery along the canal and around the cloud.. which i lived just down the road many a years ago 🙂. brings back nice memories from doing that regular walk with my dog. And nice job with the flowers nice lot of colour for the boat. It must be nice for having a constant changing garden with great views ..Enjoy and keep the good videos coming .

To think the canals were all dug by hand…no machinery…or diggers etc…..they worked hard back then….hence they were called Navvies….
