Wow! This is so beautiful. I hope it will always be left untouched, so adventurers can experience it in all its naturalness. Thanks so much for sharing. Missing home.

Is this the entrance from Ward's land? It looks different than when Mt brothers and I used to go in there. If this is nit the entrance from Wards, then there is another entrance.

I spoke with the guide and he believes thats accurate.

On this tour, we descended the easiest and most common way (through "Entrance-A" on the 2010 map by M. Lace), but there are actually a few other (discovered) entrances large enough for humans. Our island's largest caves - such as Cole's and Harrison's - are part of a vast network beneath the island's oldest coral reef terrace. A less-used entrance is at the end of the cave's "Section-J", which involves vertical rock climbing into a different part of the gully. With a keen sense of direction, you can then connect with the same cart road leading to Entrance-A. By a large Jamaican Ackee Tree. Bring a cutlass. A third entrance (which I hesitate to mention), is shortly after the "water gate" at the end of the main hall, advised for trained professionals only, requiring you to hold your breath underwater and swim to the next air pocket. Also worth mentioning: as soon as you enter the cave through Entrance-A, if you turn right (downriver) instead of left, you can go extremely far, eventually (in theory) entering Harrison's Cave. But please don't attempt to make the connection🥲. Besides that path being very long, - with dangerously low sections - Harrison's Cave is controlled by a commercial entity that might not exactly share your enthusiasm. -------------- Having said all that, I seriously advise against any cave exploration unless you are a professional, or are with an EXPERIENCED professional who is familiar with the route. Stay wild! 🤠🦎

LOL!!! This is actually a very smart comment! Barbados does in fact source most of its freshwater from underground aquifers in caves. We used to source from Cole's Cave too, but stopped decades ago due to trace bacteria levels from all the wildlife down there. Don't worry though 😅, the pools we swim in are deep in the cave, far upstream from the ecology supported by the bat roost near the entrance.
