I love your ideas. I just finished a flannel shirt in which I cut 4-1/2" squares and bricked them. Made each piece of the pattern with the re-made fabric and quilted each pattern piece of the flannel to another piece of solid flannel to make it warmer. Then, I sewed the shirt. It's a stunner...hope that makes sense.

I am absolutely obsessed with potato chip blocks! I love the fact that there are no seams to match! I’m currently trying to use my scraps before allowing myself to buy any new fabric.

That's a great goal, to use up your scraps first❣ It's so rewarding to make a quilt with what you already have. Thanks so much for watching. Happy New Year & Happy Quilting, Lea Louise

While watching your Potato Chip videos last year, I jumped on board using the 8 1/2 inch squares as you did using several focus prints that I liked together in one quilt. I made a large queen size quilt for my son and DIL for Christmas. And as the name suggests, I couldn't make just one. My second Potato Chip quilt was a variation of the first but had several more rounds around the 8 1/2" focus fabric squares and was about 83 inches square with borders. Thanks for the inspiration, Lea Louise!

These are great ideas. Who wouldn't want a reversible quit? I love Potato chip blocks. It;s a great way of using up a lot of scraps. You can poverty piece the pieces to use up more scraps; and they are just plain fun to sew. Almost mindless.

Just found you your channel and love it! Can’t wait to cut up some scraps and have fun. I like the diamond style quilting but I have done it with a twist. I have a wavy serpentine stitch on my machine that I ADORE using for quilting on my regular machine. I use my walking foot with the spacing guide inserted, then just stitch away….corner to corner. Then tackle the other corner and voila, you’ve got wavy triangles🤗.

In reply to size comment. Probably not needed. Loved the quilt.... Center is 8.5" square. Little blocks around are 2.5 x 4.5 each. This is based on potato chip blocks which can start with a pair of 2.5x4.5, 4.5 sq, OR, like this one, 8.5 sq. Starting w/bigger sq gives you bigger finished block faster. This block is 16.5" unfinished as shown.

Why don't you press your fabric before cutting it? I see lots "bends" where the fabric was previously folded before even this videos cuts. I would think that would be a problem in getting accurate sizes (for me anyhow), but maybe not with a scrappy quilt like this where you're not squaring up a block before joining it to another.
