@@christinefrazier I've been learning French since May-June of 2019 and the French "r" was difficult for me 'cause both in my native language and English there's no sound like the French "r". At first I always pronounced the French "r" like the English "r" but by practicing practicing and practicing I got the French "r". Now it just comes naturally. Just keep practicing you'd get there. ☺️😊

One of the main things I have noticed, as a French learner and a man interested in different cultures, is to speak CONFIDENTLY. Confidence is key, don't doubt yourself. Doubting leads to stutters, and stutters are bad habits to get out of! (I say from experience). For anyone trying to continue learning as I am - its all about confidence and repetition. Have patience, and have fun with it :) Willing to practice english , spanish, or french with anyone! Haha

Can you suggest some serious..how we watch French series..??
@rakeshmhasawade
@rakeshmhasawade 4 жыл бұрын
novel mania Well I have watched a few series on Netflix, Plan Cœur is a kind of sitcom with lots and lots of slang, then there’s Dix Pour Cent which is my favourite, a new concept for a TV series which revolves around casting agents of movie/TV stars. This also has a lot of informal useful daily French along with formal French as well. Watch it with French subtitles to gain the maximum out of it. Unfortunately, the Netflix subtitles do not exactly match what the characters say, so it is annoying. You can try ‘Language Learning with Netflix’ Chrome extension to watch the series with subtitles in both English and French at the same time. Having said this, I would advise to use these series as a passive language learning tool because you lose patience when you have to pause the video after every couple of sentences and look up words and phrases used. So just see it without pausing a lot, looking up words only if you feel completely lost.

@@olicarlos Si vous comprenez a peu pres 60-70% de chaque conversation en francais, vous avez passe le seuil qui est necessaire pour apprendre une langue naturellement, passifement. Si c'est pas de cas, vous devez travailler encore plus. English is not my mother tounge but still I have reached C1 in it, I would attribute majority of my success in English to daily consumption of content in English. Over time, it starts getting easier, the language starts coming to you naturally. But yes, as you said, patience and perseverence is the key! Felicitations a vous aussi, bon courage et bonne continuation!

It took me 3 years to notice and learn the difference between the sounds “tu” and “tou” ! For me, that was harder than the “r” sound !

I just started learning and that is the real difficulty for me. The R sound took a few days but wasn't so bad. I can only hear the difference in some of the nasal vowels when they're emphasized.

Nice. I'm 1 month in and can read short stories but anytime I listen to anything in French I only pick up few words. I'm curious, do you understand stuff you watch in French now? Or is it too fast for you?

Kebé Eyong i do understand some words when i put on the subtitles, but it’s still too fast for me. they do speak a lot slower in lessons, and the french from lessons vs street french or those we hear in film are different. but i do feel that i’m improving by day and it’s all that matters 😳 bonne chance à nous!

South Asians can actually speak Romance languages (Spanish, French) with a better accent as compared to English as most of the sounds already exist in their native languages.... The Indo-European connection... English is germanic so totally different ballgame for us.

This is a superb video.. Probably one of the very best on Easy French channel.. All three of them speak French at almost native speaker level, Jeena has a lovely Korean accent but her prononciation is even more impressive, because of that, sounds very French.. Josh and Darya -impeccable..Jeena from Korea is such a cute, smart, naturally funny and spontaneous person, so sincere.. Great choice of people for inteview.. Josh is absolutely charming and a total language champion, his ability is top level..very sincere answers and very authentic.. Respect!!
