I think something important to note is that even if you test negative, **that might change in the future**. This is due to epigenetics - where environmental factors 'switch on' your genes, turning the predisposition to CD into the condition. When my brother tested positive for CD, he was told that family members should get tested too. I had already had my genetics tested and knew that I had a 1 in 5 change of getting the condition based on my HLA-DQ2 gene mutations. I also had some stomache irritability from digesting lactose , so I duely went to the doctor. I had to battle with the doctor to get the test and when it came back, it was negative. About 10 years later I was extremely fatigued with bad brain fog. I got tested again and this time it was positive. It's important to get tested if you have a close reletive with the condition, but it's also important to know your risk factors if your test is negative and to keep getting tested if CD is a possibility for you.

Yes, so important to be aware of getting tested repeatedly over the years if one carries the gene/s for Celiac Disease. So glad to hear you eventually got some answers.
