You can rebuild that sandstone wall by taking the selection tool ( blue) select the area you want to rebuild - and move that blue selection into the gravel stone next to it - press CTRL-C - move the blue back to the empty position you want to refill - Press CTRL-V - et voila - no need to place them 1 by 1 ever again ! There is a easier way to just fill in an entire selected blue area with a block of choice but I need to check that out later bc I forgot 🤷♂️

If you press J on a selection you delete all inside the blue , if you select for ex. Concrete block and press L you fill up the entire selection with that block you have in your hands

25blocks was never the max falling distance. i tried something like this back in early experimental builds of A17 and found that while soft zeds like arlene only take 25 blocks, heavier ones take up to 30 and possibly more. i assume radiated take even bigger heights. and don't even bother with bears or zombie bears. i dropped one from 100 blocks once and he just walked it off taking very little damage. those bears must actually be some kind of flying squirrel or something.

They want us to play in teams. More people purchase the game, more money they collect. Because their dreams are concrete bases which need a whole week to be repaired after a blood moon night. That's why they are going to add a custom duration of the "week". So every player will have time enough to repair a base. Thus, while one of us restores a base, another teammate is looting. It seems that the developers push us to cooperative game play. Or you can set 10 days between the nights and mine rocks to repair all that time. By the way, while you will cook tons of concrete you will be forced to fight against screamer hordes. I personally don't like to play such game.

@@sc0or i don't think that's their end goal, but A17 was surely made to improve multiplayer. I feel like TFP tend to focus on a single aspect they want to improve, and forget all other things around them. I'd rather have them focus on actual endgame content instead, or they will one day find themselves in the trap that rust is now in (they have to wipe every month, or most popular servers every 2 weeks, in order to keep the game interesting, and with their progression system there is no way out of this)

You could make a super villain floating base at the center of this "volcano". But you would probably have to remake the hill to look more "Volcanic-Like", using the burnt soil and stuff like that. Also, I don't know if the game has lava blocks but if it has, you could put them at the bottom of the volcano.

Love the vids! future idea???... 4x4 impale/death track. A long, strait , one block high track with ramps on the ends(to get 4x4 elevated onto track and at zed head height) with gap in between blocks for zeds to walk/run /collect through. Start at the middle of track to get zeds running into the track channel, and then floor it!! Run off the ramps, do 180 turn and mow them over again. Or, just make one big ass circle(stadium) having one entrance(maybe 2) for zeds to enter(and the 4x4, duh) and go to town that way. Name, "Z-Deathium" or "Arlene Field" :0 Maybe throw some ramps into the mix for jumping the 4x4 and dive bombing onto the zeds once in a while? Incorporate these ideas with your race track idea?? Maybe a figure 8 death track? Would be cool to see!! Won't get exp. killing this way but, what else to do with cool toys?!! Have a good one!

The zombies were making the smart choice at the midpoint. They couldn't path to you with an acceptable amount of damage from the top. So they pathed to you by running outside to a spot where they could dig to a point of acceptable falling damage while minimizing the amount of digging. (Or they might have dug a downward angled tunnel to you) Edit: As I've heard it, the radiated zombies have regeneration. So they'd heal a bit running around each ledge. Plus, I suspect the have the parkour perk behind the scenes, which explains them having better jumps too.

last time Capp00 tested, he found 25 was the best bet for zombies up to the health pool of Big Mama so I'm guessing TFP changed some things. It _is_ true that the rads have the regen ability (there's an anti-regen module to attach to guns to help combat them) so I'd say that the best bet would be to do the three big drops, and a final step down onto some spikes or blades to finish them off

Idea to fix major mess ups. Can you turn off the autosave? Then anytime you mess up super bad you reloadast save point? When you finish a project you have to rem to save? Might be worth considering.

Watch out for them falling on corpses (like dog corpses on the first fall). In the past, gore blocks prevented some or all fall damage.

The wedge trap part is subtracting 1 from the fall distance, meaning they only fall 24 blocks. And maybe the glowing ones have fall resistance.

From my testing and i have not done it on 17.2 but the damage scaled up the more blocks but was capped at a third. So since the Radiated have so much health it was a ridiculous amount of blocks to get up to a third of their health.

I have an accidental fall base I made. I had cleared a path up to the top of the corner ruins (the one with two wall safes, one half-buried in destroyed stone and one on the third floor) by mining out blocks (I havd steel tools by this point) and was standing in a nearby POI where zombies couldn't get to me to cower for the night and apparently even though it was about 20 blocks away across the street from the POI I was in, they thought they could run up the first POI I mentioned to get to me. (you've read the meat of my post by now.) Except instead of a ramp it was just flat blocks so that when a screamer came in and I had no ammo and decided to hide (bad idea, btw) there was just a pile of zombies who were jumping up step by step all the way up the side of a ruin I didn't care one bit about because I never laid one brick on top of another brick to build it up and most of them went down enough times that they got killed by fall damage. I could have killed for some ammo right then. A ramp would have made it better for fall damage, but having a ton of "runners" slowly hopping up the side of a base was too good of an opportunity to pass up on. I went back to base to grab my bow and crossbow so I could finally burn through my non-gun ammo. Admittedly this was in an old 17.0 save that I decided to keep so perhaps the zombie AI in that world hasn't been updated? Now it's built up a little more with redundant pathways just in case a cop blows up the main path and I'm left with only the brick walls of the POI I'm standing in to protect me from a horde of feral zombies but it seems like a good "help I forgot to build a base" option. Just remember that you need to be standing on a higher point higher up than the point you want them to jump off of for this to work.

Does the giveselfskillxp command still work for you? It hasn't worked for me since they switched from A16 to 17 I'm wondering if maybe they changed how to do it or changed the way the skills are named in the files but before as long as I matched what it said in the skill menu exactly it worked

@@TwoGunToast - A17 has no more skills since it's perks only. So I'm not surprised that "give-self-skill-xp" no longer works. (I've never tried that command myself). If I remember correctly, the "give-self-xp" needs 10,000 character xp to push a level-1 character to level-2. From that point on, it takes more and more xp per level-up.

As far as the XP, I know it requires exponentially more XP as it goes but like I said I've only earned about 30 or skill points, and I'm literally typing in 2,000,000 XP at a time, three or four times in a row with the XP muliplier on 125% and still not leveling up

And if you were to take that complaint to the official forums, the only answer you'd get will be "It's in Alpha!!" -- Anyways, what I did when I still played A17 was to type in "giveselfxp 10" followed up by many more zeros (not give-self-skill-xp). If I executed that command, and it complained that the 2nd argument was no valid number, I simply removed a some of zeros from the end before the next try, until it finally accepted the command. -- bam, level 300 and a ton of perk-points -- That approach worked like a charm.

if you add electric fences on each lvl that take off about 100 hp, so each fall but fence = about 170 hp lose per lvl

the rebuild of the those walls was the karma for the rabbit jajajajajajajaja, so... the radiated survived because their healing factor, what I did was a huge hole to the mother stone and protect me with bars, and shoot them with the radiation mod

Kind of disappointed for the click bait... they didn't die.... but *at least you tried* just build them some ladders or circular stairs and keep them falling in a loop as long as it takes... and in case of emergency you will need to actively defend with a rad remover and snipe the green ones at least once.

I thought that that step down dropping would work fine... It seems they were losing health ok until they landed on bedrock, wondering if the bedrock is somewhat padding their landing where the drop damage doesnt actually give the full damage as expected..

you can do it by enabling the debug menu. i got azerty so with me it is 'w' button to select, press 'w' again on another block to select te area between them. L is filling the area with the Block you currently hold. J is to clear the selection.

Zombies can only take 34% damage per fall, this is a MAXIMUM not a fixed amount, either fall damage is not % based, pretty sure it is distance or maybe even speed based, with the first 6 blocks being a 0 HP safe drop, pretty sure humans take 1 HP every block thereafter up to a certain height before taking greater damage, which may extend to zombies as well.
