I use mine for walk-bys, walk-and-talk vlogging, for in-car footage, and for all those unique angles that would require too much stuffing around with any other device. Even the audio out of the GO2 is excellent (providing you’re out of the wind). I used it 10 times more than my GoPro.
@peterfritzphoto2 жыл бұрын
@John Foley Yeah, the overheating really can be a problem - especially when mounted to the inside of the car windscreen. When that happens, I swap out to my second one. As for the recording limit, 10 min is more than enough for most shots. And if it isn’t, I’ll just start a new shot or again, grab the other one. I hope they release a new one soon that shoots 4K and overheats less. That would be perfect.
@dancollins46732 жыл бұрын
overall it's a good additional camera to the gopro and I use it often. - faults would be: 1. terrible wind noise reduction. 2. needs better haptics to know when you start, stop recording. hard to tell when its on your head. 3. the need to export pro-video before i can import to editing software. Although the storage is small, I've always been able to capture everything I wanted.

Love my Go2 for being small and inconspicuous. Just note I put it to the extreme on a hot sunny day on a cruise (left it out to film a timelapse and the temp was burning) til the point my camera became as hot as a small potatoe from the oven. It would not charge or turn on for a good 30 mins before springing back to life after bringing it back indoors in the aircon.

I got the Go 2 a couple of months ago and love it for all the same reasons you have. Everyones going on about the new Dji Action 2 and how small it is but seam to have forgotten that the Go 2 is even smaller and lighter and to me I prefer to have the Go 2 and not even temped by the new Action 2.

The power mount paired with the USB-C BEC adapter from iFlight is a great combo for FPV drones. I’ve used this camera in pro mode at 24 fps for over 20 minutes continuously without issue. I have had overheating but only on hot days, above 30 Celsius, if on a drone, I fly faster to counteract it, haha.

It’s a great little camera, I really want to get one, but i don’t really have much of use case for it. I don’t do a lot of body cam or hat cam type of filming, so I will stay with my Hero 10 for this type of work. Great review my friend, and thanks for sharing.

Love the Go2. So easy to take a along and no one notices it. It's got some drawbacks compared to other cameras, but the size more than makes up for shorter battery and memory. I have yet to take it mtn biking, but have seen enough videos that the quality is really good. Played with some POV walking around. Still playing with it, but am super excited to take this along on vacations and trips.

I'd love to see a comparison between the Go 2 and the DJI Action 2. I feel like either would make a great B-roll camera for the Hero 9 I picked up last year, while being smaller allows for some possibilities that would be harder or impossible for the GoPro.

2 thinks what I really dont like on the insta go 2 is the batterie life. It drops so fast that mostly you cant get all the shots you want. and Im not complaining about the 27.7gb. You want be able to fill it cause the batterie drops 6 times before you can get these 27 gb filled. 2nd is the limited record time so even if you would use the charing case you are limited to maximum 30 min and even then mostly the cam shuts down cause of overheating before you even can reach min 17. I tested it with some timelapsshots outside @ 4c°+. Overheating is a big problem of that cam. So you really need to think of what you want to shoot with it. I still keep it cause its so tiny and gives you good perpectives witch you never could get with the go pro but its just my 2nd camera for now
@juanonline2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment! It seems that none of the reviewer are addressing the overheating and battery life points. I'm looking for a small camera to replace the GoPro on my motorcycle helmet, and this one seemed good, until I learned it overheats after 17 mins and shuts itself off. No good for my application.

Totally agreed with you, review after period of time is more functional then just launches review, I just got the 32gb one, you will have enough space to record more after you download the video's to you phone, however the battery life is quite short to be honest, since the body is so small, is hard to contain much battery life. If you are using as a short video, 32gb is more then enough. (If you concern about the price between 32 and 64 ;) )

Yeah it can be a little daunting but no slower than trying to get it off a GoPro or any other type of camera. Wireless transfers always can be a little bit cumbersome. But on the other hand it’s not a horrible amount of time just depends how much data you’re transferring at once. If the memories completely full I estimate it takes about 15 minutes maybe a little less
