Using white is a smart decision, especially for people who use the camera outdoors in warm weather. Black absorbs heat, which in turn makes the device hotter, which can cause overheating issues among other things. Maybe GoPro would do better if they came out with a white version that didn’t overheat as much as their current cameras 🤔

NOTICE in the teaser video, you do not see any kind of hardcore action activity. Nothing under water, no skiing, no snowboarding, no rock climbing. This is not for extreme sports... it's for creative film shooting.

The external monitor would be amazing, but I need three fixes: 1. Be able to record 10 min without overheat 2. When there are problems video files dont get corrupted 3. External remote control is water proof

I think your analysis and speculation sounds really solid. Makes sense to me. I'm curious what the price will be. The thing I liked about the Go2 was the lower cost... and this all feels like it is going to significantly increase the cost.

I hope it will have a place for a MicroSD into the camera body, even if the body needs to be a bit bigger. A better slow motion would be nice too. - Microsd slot - Slow motion (1080 240p or at least 120p with good quality) - 4k 60p, but 4k 30p would be nice enough for the camera size - Keep the replaceable lens cover

@@CalvinCarlo I could be wrong. Basically the plane inside was dark and the lady one row in front and across was using a small screen device that looked like an airpod case. She was looking at a pic thumbnail. I joke to my friend that I just saw a go3 prototype back then. I dismissed it in my head because I was thinking if the back is full screen how does it open like a clamshell. I was thinking that maybe it’s just some Chinese domestic item that never makes the international market. There are plenty of those type of items. Of course I could be wrong but the timing. The airpod format. Full screen back. I regret not asking her so I can be 100 percent.

i love alternating between the Go2 and the X3. Oddly, even though they've been connected to my same mobile device (therefore synchronized to the same clock) when i import clips, for some reason they are staggered. This ruins my flow when trying to edit something chronologically. What i mean is if i record an activity with both cameras and import clips the Go2 clips are not grouped next to the X3 clips. It's weird. Insta360 cust support never can give a clear explanation. Regardless, I hope this new camera has a better internal clock and timestamps the same as the X3.

I think the button on on the case is a releasing mechanism but not for the screen, It'll be for the GO 3 and that shape above is where that mechanism will lock with the case.

Agreed, was gonna say I can't imagine needing to keep the screen closed so solidly, whereas if the camera is only held in magnetically, it's basically useless as an action cam while in the case

I do like my gopros but the 360 x3 was really amazing. The new insta seems neat if it's really that small for an action camera but i would have my concerns as it means a very small sensor and would be fairly useless in anything but very bright conditions. The x3 really surprised me so maybe this new one will too!

great video man. I have the go 2 and it is a nightmare editing the footage. I just can't use it, it just collects dust. I have the package downloaded and plug in for premiere installed but good grief it slows everything down just scrubbing the video. It only comes in handy in very rare moments anyways.

But man, it will happen with any kind of footage that have big compression. If your computer can't handle that, you need to make proxies before start editing. Also, the premiere plugin sucks, cause it don't level the image neither stabilizes it - at least it didn't when i tried.

First point about being 4k which is likely, however i filmed on go2 at 1440p and in edit i can export out at 4k so your point isn’t necessarily 100% but I dont doubt the claim 😂

Have never bought an action camera, because I don't have an action life. And anybody I point a video camera at, holds up their hands in front of their face and says "No!" When you drive a computer all day long video editing, there seems to be no point to wasting money on an action camera. Because. Stock footage. A click a way. All my videos are published in 1080p, and most likely watched in 144p on a smart phone. 4K. Laughs. Do you have any clue what kind of bloated file size you're working with with 180/360 4K recorded files. Yeah. Not fun, or worth it.
