Good tips...memorizing the button presses can be a bit annoying. Especially, when you use a lot of other camera gear. I did notice my Insta360 GO is having a LOT of difficulty connecting to Blue Tooth (not sure why). Tried connecting to Blue Tooth several times and my iPhone just isn't seeing the Insta360 GO. Not sure if others are experiencing anything similar (Note: I am running the newest Insta360 APP (1.5.0) & Firmware Version vs 4.25.6 - Released 2020-07-01).

Max Record length is one minute but if you record hyper lapses you can record up to 30 minutes. Yes it should transfer to your dell using the usb cable.

Question. How to transfer vid from cam to mobile Phone, When you are on trip ( > 1 day) ? I ride motorcycle, and Wild camping.

In an ideal world you’d take a small laptop so you can plug the Go2 in and back up the files as this would be quicker. If you buy the usb cradle this may be faster to transfer them to your phone via cable although I haven’t tried this myself so definitely experiment before you go. If that doesn’t work then it will be a case of just transferring via wireless connection which could take a while - double check they are all on your phone before deleting and ideally export to the phone album and then backup to a sandisk usb drive that connects directly to your phone. Battery will be a killer on the camera and phone so lots of decent power banks would help.

Thanks for this Richard. One question - Tip 8 you said that you have to use the app to stop the recording of a hyperlapse. I have been successfully stopping my hyperlapse recordings by just pushing the button once. (I do have hyperlapse recording set to a single button push - wonder if this is making the difference?)

Hi there .. this may be a silly question but can you use footage and save to pc or I pad/phone without using the App? .. or once you’ve done your editing on app can you use it as B’ roll with other editing apps ? .. ( sorry very new to this )

Hi Thomas, after you’ve imported to the app you can export to your phone as individual clips. These clips will be mp4 format and you’ll be able to use these with other apps. You can use your insta360 studio on your pc and trim the clips and export to your pc as well. Hope this helps.

2:50 - having to push to stop a Hyperlapse ? Not on mine, did you mean Timelapse maybe ? That mode is really strange (not to mention rather useless with its 9 second max clips) and I haven't really figured how to stop it before the end of the programmed sequence. Pressing the button has worked sometimes, the app never as its hard to reconnect (unless you deactivate buttons maybe to have wake on BT ?). And it seems you need to record one other video/picture/hyperlapse for the timelapse to become available for viewing/downloading...

PeakaBry I think if you want to stop the hyperlapse before it’s finished you have to stop it via the app. But I think this may only be if hyperlapse is assigned to 3 pushes. I haven’t tried a time lapse with the Go. This may have been resolved with a firmware update and I missed it. Thanks for watching.

That’s a good question - I don’t know but I wonder if it was just a one off like the evo. I’m not sure what they could really improve that would make people upgrade. It’s a great little camera.

Great tips and tricks.. I have a question, how do you delete files for the Go app after they have been transferred from Camera to Local? I have tried to delete but I get Current Story Files Can Not Be Deleted? So how do you remove to free up space?

Thanks for the comment and sorry for the delay. So to delete your camera files you connect the camera to your phone, go to settings, camera storage and then format. To delete a story you simply swipe left and delete. This is for ios it may be different for android. Hope that helps, thanks, Rich

@@EatSleep360 thanks for your reply, I kinda thought you must use iphone. I use android and dont seem to have the trim the fat option in my settings also if you unasign a button press it is just 'none' in the options. When I setup the quick button press initially, I was sure i had the option to set a delay on the command, I chose 3 seconds and regret this now as there seems to be no way to reset this delay! The trim the fat is the most frustrating missing option, even more so after i realise this video was posted, 8 months ago?! This really shows how little android is supported, also my go stayed switched on for most of the video and whilst writing this, so looks like it doesnt switch off after 30 seconds when connected to bluetooth on android!

The most common complaints of problems are with android phones / I wish insta would update them as often as iPhones - I think they will end up losing customers

Yes the camera can be used with iOS and android - iOS is a smoother experience with all the insta360 cameras.
