Very cool camera angle. Seeing dirt fly around when the car's airborn is crazy

Crazy to see how much pops up inside the body too! Thanks for commenting!

It doesn't fly around! It literally levitates! I love it!

Protip: Watching in slo mo makes it feel full size. Slows down the exaggerated scale model movements to normal speeds!

@@RyanLutzI learned it from a sailing video of all places. They used slowed down footage of RC sailboats to illustrate normal (full size) sailing concepts. But they also included some normal speed footage where the scale boats looked hyper speed! Thanks for all these cool vids (-8

AWESOME! I always wondered if we built a true 1:1 size buggy if you could see sitting in the cab with the high shock towers and the answer is YES! Thanks Champ!

@@RyanLutz I like the way that ya can see the Ft tires and can see the ft end's push as ya drive around; as it appears to me, very predictable.

For sometime now I have wondered if FPV RC racing could be a thing (kind of like drone racing) and what it might look like. This video answers at least one of those ponderings. I am a bit surprised at the amount of body movement relative to the camera.
@RyanLutz11 ай бұрын
There is so much vibration and shock on landings and in holes that these cars go though. And I stabilize the body with tape on the sides and washers for the body mount so it doesn't move as much as it would otherwise. That is why currently we probably couldn't do tru FPV in off-road because the zero latency cameras don't have the stability that would be necessary to be able to stand watching this POV.

I know you have a video for mounting from the top of your buggy, how did you mount this inside the body? I've been wanting to do this view myself since I got back into the hobby. Heck since I was a child going RC racing with my dad back in the 90s/early 00s.
@RyanLutz11 ай бұрын
Insta360 Go3 with cap mount. Took off the little rubber they have on the bottom of it and used two layers of double sided tape and stuck it to the inside top of the roof. Glued the hinges of the mount so it doesn't move.
