Hi mate, just bought myself mr04 evo2 MM last week. Am happy to see Singaporean youtuber on mini-z. I want to purchase the kyosho r246 motor mount. Can please advice which are the correct version with part number for MM mount? I am awaiting for the PN racing friction damper. Will heed your advise and forgo the top damper/spring since mr04 can be driven well without it.

Great video, thank you so much for that. Was wondering how the low speed control is with the motor being sensored. Can you control it much better at start up low speeds than the MR-03evo sensorless brushless motors?
@Auranapse9 ай бұрын
Yea, it's a significant improvement, it's very close to being brushed. It's more than smooth enough for normal driving. I did notice that low speed of 4100KV is also similar to 8500KV.

Do you know the model you got with the dampner compares with the other version with the low motor without the dampner. Trying to decide which one to get. Thanks. Great vid
@Auranapse Жыл бұрын
It really depends on the body type you want to run. The MM2 motor mount can work with 94mm and 98mm, but it's higher center of gravity and the shock might interfere with a couple of bodies, like the popular 12C. I just ran a few other people's MR04 and the 8500KV version with no damper does still drive really well, just that it tends to bounce a little on the rear.

There's an aftermarket one made by MXO Racing, and it does work well, one of the guys at the track run it. If you get it you'll have to follow the dual rate settings in the instructions MXO Racing gives.

@@MarioDTD Depends on how much you want to invest / how far you wanna go in the hobby. The normal Mini Z RWD ready to run is easiest place to start, and is plenty fun to drive. @Auranapse10 ай бұрын
@@johnsebastian1605 I would say that it will probably work, all sensored motors I come across will work with sensorless ESCs, but then it's better to save money and get the sensorless motor instead.

@@johnsebastian1605 if both are brushless, it depends on the actual KV of the motor. KV from manufacturers sometimes aren't accurate. Even the red 8500kv made for the first EVO(MR03EVO/MA030EVO) seems to be slightly off from the new 8500kv for the MR04EVO2

@Auranapse9 ай бұрын
If you wire it correctly, the board can take 7.4v without issues, just be extra careful not to accidentally give it too much voltage. AAA nimh rechargeables are what most people usually run.

@Auranapse11 ай бұрын
What tyres are you using? I noticed with the MR04 design, I'm usually getting more front grip with it compared to my PN car, so I needed less aggressive front tyres in order to run the car optimally.

@@Rowtreez The usual safe tyre setup choice is radial 20 wide at the back and 30 slick fronts, I'll try a harder front tyre. You can also try running harder front spring but if the car swings out or loses traction very quickly, tyres are usually the problem.
