It sucks that it can only be mounted on a dji air2 or air2s. Otherwise i would definitely have bought it. I almost own every dji drone except for the air2(s). I sold them both last year. Would love to have one for the mavic 3.

Unfortunately right now this is only compatible with Air 2 and Air 2S. They have an older model for Mavic 2 Pro but the GPS on the drone is compromised when it's mounted.

Would be nice to compare with SMO 360 camera. Yes, yes. I know this camera can be attached to any drone and the SMO 360 needs a dedicated carrier and yet. What are the pros and cons of these two approaches, past the obvious.

Yeah I would say 1080p at best unfortunately. But for social media stuff or stuff that you just want to be eye catching you can definitely get away with the quality!

Oh and no, not compatible with the Mavic 3. I'm sure they went with the Air 2S as it's more aimed at a similar market to who's using 360 cameras.

BetaFPV actually designed a drone that fits an Insta360 One R in the middle, and somehow everything is designed to squeeze within the crop. But yeah, miss your landing pad by a few inches and you have a scratched lens...

@@cbenfey I’ve seen some of options by Betafpv and NewBeeDrone etc but have never been in love with the idea of making so many concessions in the quad design, components, and flight characteristics just to hold one specific camera. Since this has a much wider stitch line it could hide even my Chimera7 in there if I swapped the long range antennas out. I just talked myself into it.

Unfortunately because of the nature of how these cameras work, this is still kind of cutting edge. But hopefully if their products continue to do well, they can work on making advances in the image quality. I'm working on a series right now and the director keeps asking if we can do this effect or that effect from this video, and I'm like...I don't think Netflix will approve this camera haha

Lets boil this down... You can't fly a drone without specific licensing in that kind of environment in the first part of the video. Drones already have good action shots capability. You'll need a pillow to land it on if you don't want to keep buying lens protectors (which have stitching problems). There are already insta 360 holders for drones on the market which will work almost as well. How many times are you likely to use it? If you look at when the video reaches street level, the video is choppy and way below standard. Love to know how the Aviation Authority cleared that flight for you?
