Epic creation indeed. It is really good to see some camera accessory for DJI Mavic Air 2 and Mavic Air 2S! Just thinking, what about other drones compatibility?! Anyway, the Insta360 Sphere ( formerly, the invisible drone 360 camera, lol) is a bit too impressive with those high quality video footage! 48 minutes runtime with that small battery is obviously very good. It is unbelievable to think, that how much has the RC/Camera industry progressed in this 10 years! And, it is still becoming better and better, every single passing day! The recorded 360° footage of Sphere was fantastic ofcourse and such a relief to eyes! It costs around 500-600 USD and it is an expected price for this amazing gadget. It weighs too less i.e., 193 grams, but it is a bit of masd if we put it on a drone! But, no worries as DJI Mavic Air 2/2S are a powerhouse and can easily handle the weight! Looking forward for more of this stuff. Also, I feel that your DJI Mini 3 Pro review is around the corner!

I have an older version of the instant360. Love it. The #1 feature I want is the ability to get rid of the fisheye curve that is part of every shot. Fisheye is not really that bad, but sometimes I don't want it. It might be something that needs to be done in post-production editing or new cameras have the ability to shoot without getting the fisheye effect.

Fisheye is user selectable. In my example I used it to varying degrees and other times I used Linear (wide angle) which is what you want when you do not want the fancy effects but just want to show the awesome landscape vistas.

So far the best DJI Drone on the market in 2022, based on price and specs, would be the DJI AIR 2S. It is an older drone and will be discontinued next year, but it is one of the few that just does it all really well.

The software is free... just search for INSTA360 STUDIO for your PC or MAC, or if on vacation just use the APP on your phone as it can do many more cool things that the studio can't do. In the SUDIO app on your computer you can save the footage as a VR file for KZbin (the viewer scrolls around the screen) or other device.

Not really, the FIMI is rather wide.

According to technical specifications, the fimi is 9mm wider and 4mm less deep, does the mount of the insta360 sphere only have a closing position or does it allow a little more clearance? and that I am a user of the insta360 one R and I have always looked favorably on this brand. But I think they shouldn't have focused on just one drone model.

Not really. However INSTA 360 makes so many different versions of their 360 cameras that you may find one that works for you. BETAFPV sells many versions as well.

Isn't that what it is supposed to do? If you speed up videos in editing software, the recorded sound usually mutes since it just becomes chipmunk gibberies. To be honest I have not tried it in the app so can't be of much assistance.

I don’t believe so, but I’ve never tried it. On a camera drone with a 3 axis gimbal, the only way to get the legs to show up in the frame is to quickly turn left or right… the camera is slow to follow the drone so often the legs are in the frame.

I tried different speeds but that didnt seem to make much difference. After watching your video today I have decided to give it another try. Any suggestions? @@StorylinePictures-rf9vv Hi Daron, I’m not exactly sure how you had JELLO in the image because there is no gimbal, only digital stabilization, which is applied in the INSTA360 STUDIO software. If you were able to produce JELLO, that means your camera system was floppy all over the place, or the drone was vibrating insanely. My only advice, is to power on the drone, get the satellites, then attach the 360 system (don’t do it the other way around). Make certain you put the system on correctly so you don’t block the GPS or sensors. When you fly, always fly in straight lines, even if the object you wish to film is on the right, left (in other words you have to imagine how the final product will look like before you shoot it). NEVER film like you would film using the DJI Camera .

Homer… watch Part 3 of my review of the Insta36O RS camera. In that video I show how to edit using insta360 studio. I can tell you are not understanding the concept of filming with a 360 degree camera and hopefully that vid expands your knowledge. Think of it this way… if you are standing on a street facing North and a friend comes up behind you and calls your name, you have to turn around to see them. Now let’s say you also had eyes on the back, sides, top of your head and even under your chin. You would never TURN when your name is called as you can see in every direction

@@shb7772000if If u r driving a vehicle and there is a guy in the back with a camera recording he will smoothly move the camera in order to keep his subject in frame , but then if u decide u too need to see the subject and turn the vehicle the camera guy will have to make sudden movements in order to keep the subject in frame therefore the video will not be smooth , in the same way if u turn Ur drone even though the 360 can see everything in order to keep the subject in the same place u will have to do sudden movements in editing therefore the footage will not be smooth. As for editing it depends on the camera but since u have a 360 shot to get the best results ppl usually edit

I'm an old guy, so it will take me a while to totally understand the drone version. But I guess it doesn't fit the mavic 3 anyway, which is all I have. Calculus problem. How many normal cameras, with 90 degrees fov, would it take to get full 360 degree coverage?

@@pacificnorthwestdestinatio5414 looking at the battery it is a 3.8volt. Capacity is 1050 mAh. This is pretty much what a One X battery is so just search for such (if made by another company it will normally have a slightly higher mAh capacity).

No issues at all on mine. You may the unit not on exactly correct. The beta version they made caused the gps not to work and they fixed that in the retail version (at least the one I received had no such issues).

Very interesting product and results indeed. And I must also add I like the 3D animation intros, always different, are these outsourced or how is it worth to do that, very pro. :-)

I make a different intro for each video I make, so that's pretty much over 100 different intros per year. Because they are the last thing I make before publishing the video, I make them quick and sometimes they come out slick and other times ho-hum. All made by me by just using creative tools in Final Cut Pro.

Looks good, but that must throw the CG way off. I also assume having that extra weight effects flight time. I know for a fact when I fly without my gopro I get about 2 more minutes of fight time compared to just 5 minute flights with the gopro on. I always thought the point of these DJI drones was to not need any extra cams like we do in fpv quads.

As noted in the video, flight time is effected. Drones don't care about CG as they have a Flight Controller and are not like RC Planes.

Perhaps you are unaware but the Mini 3 Pro was only sent to the usual reviewers to showcase. The rest of us "paying" humans have to buy it which means we have to wait until it is available.... If you buy one today, you won't get it until AUGUST. Mine should arrive in the next two weeks.
