I’ll help you decide if this is the right camera for you. I’ll look at some of its new features and offer some tips on how they can be used. I’ll discuss why you might want a 360° camera and look at other options available to you right now - both from Insta360 and GoPro.
Latest firmware released 21st November 2022 (v1.0.21):
1. Pre-recording function has now been added.
2. Added 4K 360 24/25/50fps modes, 3K 100fps mode.
3. Added 1080p 24/25/50fps support for Me Mode.

Thank you really appreciate it! I've not tested the RS 1" - but the quality will be better with its larger sensor. I wouldn't personally be too concerned with the megapixel number - sensor size and lens are far more important.

I have a GoPro max would you suggest buying the insta 360 x3 or just keep my GoPro max?

I don't think it will feel like much of an upgrade - but I do find the X3 and X2 easier to use - and more importantly for me much slimmer to slip into my pocket!

What is the maximum storage card I can use on a X3. Can I use 1TB memory card?

I use a 512GB card - I've not tested a 1TB card but according to this article it should be ok: onlinemanual.insta360.com/x3/en-us/faq/compatibility/storage

I'm a DJ and I want to record the entire night for my gig vlog. I was thinking of mounting a 360 camera such as the Insta360 Infront of me so it captures me the entire night (this way I don't need a social media assistant as much) as well as capture the entire venue/dance floor. I'd like it to be recorded at 4k or AT LEAST 1080P. Is there a slot for a large capacity SD card? I will probably need 2 or more SD cards for longer nights. Is this the right product to execute my idea?

The issue is low light capability. These cameras aren't great when there's no much light. And you'll record at 5.7K but only output 1080p as the flat video file for general cosnumption.

Yes they're not cheap! Perhaps check eBay for an older model since not a huge difference.
