I got one but I am unable to screw the lid back on it has all the threading still I just can’t get it on all the way any tools for suggestions it is a deep dig so it is difficult to get it

Put in in a box , that stick a bit above ground level so never get buried, also need to take flapper off before sending an auger cable down from the house , make sure you mention this to the plumber!!

Wait 8 ft below ground ? Shit good luck with that. , they make some that can be serviced even that deep i think, come with a stick that will allow you to take the flapper out

@@mariosifuentes5994 Mine has an adapter kit you can buy so you can make a riser out of 6 inch pvc. Then you glue a 1 1/2 inch pvc to the flapper assembly (my flapper assembly has a round disk that holds the flapper in place - it’s a Sioux Chief brand). The one in this video appears to have a receptor on the lid for a glued 1 1/2 inch pipe but I don’t see how you would remove and clean the flapper if you can’t reach it. This one looks like an Oatey. I think I purchased this one and returned it for that reason.

I have a valve installed now just have to figure the best way to box it in with an access door on top. Any suggestions? This is in a basement near laundry area where renters may walk around

What happens if someone flushes a toilet, runs the washer or takes a shower when the valve is held closed by sewage backing up from the storm drains?

Technically, ‘usage’ from inside the house end should be kept at a minimum until the street sewer situation returns to normal so this does not happen. I think preventing street sewer backup mess it much better than dealing with a little inconvenience. Btw, nyc has experienced massive flooding due to Ida’s arrival. It is a holy mess.

A back flow that may open your flapper and allow water to rise up your drains, that's what. Otherwise, just your shower water or crap stuck between the backflow device and your drain heads! Why would you be taking a shower or flushing your toilet under those conditions? Question answered.

You cannot install those on the main connectors in Canada. It is illegal. Pretty much sure it is also illegal in mist US states. On the main collector you need to use a normaly open valve
