Thanks for showing us your work. Some of us have a lot to learn, and surely your videos will soon be blessing the health of my 91!

No problem! I'm sorry the video was so long but, I felt the need to show more of what I do just in case someone needed to see the details. Good kick with your 91! ✊🏾✊🏾

Thank you! I'm glad you liked the video and that it was helpful to you. I'm going to replace my converter as well. I believe it's a bit too loose for my application. I'm going back to the 1800-2200 stall. ✊🏾✊🏾

Thanks man! I mostly hear that I favor Wesley snipes and RG3 and Chris tucker.😁😁 It would be nice if I had their wealth as well! That way, I can order the parts to do more videos. Thanks for watching!

Good job. Great video!!! What rear gears to you have? I would personally leave that stall in there. I personally always add 500 rpm to lowest operating range of camshaft so you don't get and converter creep while stopped at a light. So stock motors to rv cams anything below 224 duration @ .050 always get a 2000 stall. Starting at 224 I use a 2500 (2200-2700) then so forth. If the operating range is 2000 - 6500, I'm going with a 2500. I thing you may need more gear. I'm running 2200 stall and 4.10 Eaton Tru Trac. My cam is a Comp# 08-500-8 206/212 duration@ .050 .480/.488 112 lsa hydraulic roller. According to Comp, use stock stall. But then the truck would be lazy. When running right it will smoke the tires on punch. (Ported tbi, and headers) I'm waiting for my ecm to return from Dynamic Efi with conversion ebl flash. Should be here Monday.

Yes sir! Thank you so much! I currently have the stock 3.42 gears in the rear. What do you think would be a better gear? 3.55 or 3.73? I drive my truck on the interstate and I'm afraid if I run a bigger gear, I will sacrifice fuel mileage. What's your take on the cam that I intend on installing? It's a comp cam 12-243-3. I think thats the gring number. Let me know what you think. I appreciate you watching and your knowledge and input.

I’m thinking about doin this to my 4l70. It’s been tuned a little, shift points moved and pressure bumped up. I’d like to get the 2nd and 4th super hold servos.

Jamie, you should look into the website on that card. They have all kinds of transmission parts for all types of transmissions. I know they may have what you're looking for. I think I may need to adjust the TV cable again though. Other than that, the shift quality is definitely better!✊🏾✊🏾

Kinda reminds me of a grandprix shift in the early 70s Pontiacs. Man those GPs with a 400 or a big 455 would rock and shifted perfectly. I run a 1600 stall with 3.42s in my malibu much better, year's ago I ran a 3500 in a 400 b&m with 4.10s in my 55 the glove box would open and sometimes ashtray would fall out lol it shifted like a hammer... probably why I broke u-joints, sheared off lug studs and totally wasted a couple of rear ends lol. Happy Easter to you and your family.

Mr John, the stories you could tell me!!!😁😁 My truck shifted like that one time and I had to take it back to the shop and get the shift point softened up some. I would love to afford to be able to destroy some rear ends one day! Happy Easter to you and your family as well Mr John!

The Corvette servos are good for performance but they wear out quickly compared to the regular ones especially if you work your transmission hard. Was that a 700r4 or a 4l60e? I have a 94 and it's got the 4l60e. First gen transmission. But my truck is a lifted 4x4 tho. With tire chains on all four tires lmfao!! The old chev trucks are so tough..🥡🐗

My truck is a 91 and yes, it has the 700R4 in it. I don't work it too hard and I don't think the servo upgrade will be an issue later since it's not a break neck shift. It's just a firmer shift than it was. And you are right, they are tough when you treat them right!💪🏾💪🏾

@@WorkingwithBobby Lol I also have a '96 GMC 1500 extended cab short bed with 33 inch tires and it's a 5 speed. Has the nv3500. It loves 6000 rpm burnout action in second gear with the 3.73 axle gear ratio. And that's a pretty big truck but it only came with the 4.3l v6. I wanna steal the transmission and clutch pedal and skinny brake pedal out of it and put it in the other 96 that has a carbureted 350. I have like 5of these trucks lolz

@@thehulkamaniabrother2.089 Wow man! That sounds like a lot of fun! I saw a short bed v8 truck like what we have for sale on Facebook marketplace with a 5 speed manual. I know it won't stay there long! Anyways, I hope you enjoy all your trucks!✊🏾✊🏾

@@WorkingwithBobby Man you must have one of the last trucks ever made with the 700r4. You know what would be a pretty good experiment is to see how one of those new ten speed transmissions would work in the older trucks like we have. Ford and Chevrolet are both using them now. It has a removable bell housing so you can put a bell housing for either a Chevy or a Ford engine. Ford uses them on the 5.0l coyotes so they must be pretty tight units. Or is it better to use a powerglide 2 speed that only shifts one time. You know those new hellcats are way faster now with that new german designed 8 speed ZF transmission. I never have engine problems, I always seem to lose my automatic transmissions first. And differentials in the rear axles too lol. Gotta put the 3/4 ton rear end in and get rid of the 10 bolt. You want that eaton g80 posi so she can spin both the back tires lolz. Or the zexel torsen differentials are also really good. Lol I never get a truck that has a stock posi trac setup, it's always those stupid annoying spider gears that break and the broken chunks of gears go everywhere and get caught in the ring and pinion gears and destroys them as well. Not to mention the bearings too.

@@thehulkamaniabrother2.089 The 700r4 and the 4l60 Are the same trans the 4l60e is the same but electric. I have a 91 with a 700r4 and the 4l60 pans are the same as well as the rest they just renamed the 700r4 to the 4l60.
