Hi Andrew, First of all, thank you for your videos! Just finished setting up OMV following your last video and it worked perfectly fine, very helpful! Now this video is (nearly) what I need, sadly my ISP doesn't provide a public IP and I can't do port forwarding on my router. My idea to circumvent this was to rent a basic VPS (1CPU/1GB RAM for 1 buck a month), then setup WireGuard to route all traffic to a VM on my Proxmox machine. From there, I could follow your steps, would that work? I guess it would be a security risk to tunnel all traffic directly into my homelab without using a Firewall, so adding a pfSense VM in between makes sense? (Although I read you have to be careful when setting up a pfSense VM) Thanks!

I am hesitant to use Cloudflare Tunnels (thats why I mentioned the VPS/WireGuard, watched you video about that topic), because apparently Cloudflare only allows primarily Web apps (HTML/CSS/JS/JSON content), while I host services like NextCloud, OMV and in the future plan to host game servers.

Hi @dsonathar2295 - I am so glad the OMV video worked so well for you! That is great to hear!! Have you considered using Tailscale for this? Tailscale allows all devices to appear as though they are on the same LAN, making it a great solution. The advantage is that you do not need to do any port forwarding. The downside is that you would need to install a small Tailscale app on any device connecting to it. However, it works amazingly well and should fit the use cases you mentioned above. I use it for some networks I have set up where I do not want them to be public-facing with a domain name but still want easy access, particularly for my holiday light displays with multiple Raspberry Pi computers.

@@Whats.New.Andrew Thanks for the quick response, the explanation and your use case! I heared of Tailscale before, but not in this context. I will check it out, thank you!
