Install dual (2) Hard Drives using OptiBay enclosure in Mid-2010 Macbook Pro

This video is a user-friendly tutorial about installing the Optibay Hard Drive enclosure (www.mcetech.com...) in a Mid-2010 Macbook Pro. The OptiBay replaces your optical drive (or "SuperDrive"), and gives you the ability to install a second hard drive in its place. So, you could (in my case) run a SSD for your operating system and applications, and a hard disk drive for your media files and documents.

If your macbook pro fails can't you just replace the dvd drive again and make it look like nothing was tampered with?

So how is the macbook's temperature with hdd and ssd ? I am having only SSD, and for me. The macbook get too hot, too often.

what should i do? im getting a quad core i7 2.2 ghz macbook pro soon, and upgrading to 8 gb of ram. i want to get an ssd without sacrificing the hdd, as i need th extra space, but i need speed and power for cinema d, after effects, final cut, etc. However, i also want to occasionally game on it(black ops, mw2, cod 4,5, and 2) but this requires the disc drive. would it be a good idea to buy a cheap external hdd and install the game sto the computer so i never need to bring the discs with me?

Well I just did that and I got the gear. The only thing is that shipment adds about 50% to the price... Sometimes there a downside to being european. On the other side the dollar is going down agains the euro again :)

you can get a optibay 'clone' off ebay from for like 10$ just put one into my mbp' last night.
