always before drilling a hole in a truck bed put a stopper to your drill bit. I have seen many things with a hole after the drill hits the bottom, including under gas tanks.......

What happens to the end of the vent hose coming from the new tank. Is it just left open ended and hanging loose.

Hmmm...Can you add a cap after the tool box is installed? I need a regular cab, 8 foot box and second gas tank. Have a 32 gallon tank on a 2002 Chevy Silverado 1500 8 cyl. but am thinking of buying a 2018 Silverado 1500 8 cyl. which has a 34 gal tank and want the above options. Can GM do this for me?

Instead of drilling the lines is that a pop out for the truck bed next to the holes drilled? Glass companies have a thing to where if its bare metal you put it on their to block corrosion. Its better to just buy a bigger fuel tank. In a doomsday scenario you won't be able to put a camper in the bed to sleep in. Maybe i think extremely deep into philosophy of use. Never mind.

Just use a regular tool box and install a fuel cell inside tool box..then buy a hand fuel pumper

As someone who mainly rides motorcycles and seldomly drives cars. Why would someone need such a large gas tank on their truck? That can hold weight in gas than any of my bikes weigh.
