Thanks for the help, Adam Chandler. I have a basic model Ioniq Hybrid and changing the light bulbs is really a pain but your video clears any doubts about how to tackle the issue without paying a hefty price for having the dealership doing it for you. Great video this is☝️👍.

Zero issues. I really like the visibility and the beams have a good cut-off. they don't project high at all but everything in front of me is crystal clear. Just ordered the high beams as well.

Good morning. LaFit who makes these LEDs actually shipped me some dust covers that work. I know if you google for them, you can find a few 3D printing sites that will give you the plans for free or they’ll sell you the covers if you don’t have your own 3D printer.

There is a Hyundai Elantra / Sante Fe Deep headlight cap that is available from 3D printers. there's a template online so you just need to find someone with a 3D printer to make it for you.

mate, i got the LED white lights but they where do I get the adapter which you have shown in the video. I dont have lasfit in sydney and ordered HLXG LED lights with canbus on ebay. But I think I need those adapters to install hte low beam H7 LED in kona . Am I right ? Please advise. Appreciate it. Cheers.

In a Kona? I'm not sure. I know for the Ioniq, the adapter is required. There's a 3D printing model of it online if you know someone with a printer.

Probably not but a lot of modern cars are always 'alive' so it's a good practic.

I have a Hyundai Ioniq 2019 hybrid blue, and I have been told that LEDs cannot be used with projector lens which My Ioniq has in the low beams. Does your Ioniq have projection lens? My unit is the base model (Blue) that has no fog lamps and halogen bulbs in the low beams. Not sure about the High beams but would guess they are halogen also. Projection lens have a bullet shape with magnifying glass look.

Base model Ioniq is just regular bulbs. It's the higher trims that have projectors...at least that's how mine was.

This doesn't appear to be the 2019 hyundai Ioniq, I say that because I don't have a battery terminal as you've shown. The starter battery is underneath the rear passenger's seat, next to the main hybrid battery.

Hi, if you look at 7:31 time stamp, you'll see that bare terminal showing. that's the negative side.

LEDs are more efficient than bulbs but alas, I didn't test the draw.

Manual says Ioniq Electric Type A (base model), uses H7 for low beam, and HB3 (= 9500) for high beam. And having to place another order for those caps I find really tacky. More money, basically.

@@AdamChandler86 Thank you very much! The guy on the phone told me that, the DC 1004 is the Ioniq cover, and you got the 1005. Confusing, why they have 2, and when I told him I can't order since you don't have the cover in stock, he just said OK. Instead get it from Hyundai, this is the parts number. Looks like from the comments, the cover out of stock over 3 weeks. Just saying. They business must be too good.....

You are just shared a good info, and worked out a deal with them to boost they sale, and something happened in 3 months. I think they are not as motivated now as they were 3 months ago.
