It's a lot easier to just buy a 2 pole key switch, I installed one today 30 min. For a customer Done.

so you split the "Ignition" and tap in the key switch in so unless the "key Or switch Or any interupting device " is activated it will not be powered up . Simple but that can also be done with out opening the controller and risk damaging something or create a water ingress hazard , but it will result in a cleaner job if going in i myself did use a simpler 3 Position key switch that activate accessories (via Relay ) . my key switch has no VBatt display , that info is on the controller display & phone app + BMS phone App . I find that looking at the same parameter with different tools can prevent missreading them or show weak hardware ( a part starting to show failure / weakness ) can save a BIG peace of hardware ,thanks & ride safe =D

Good morning, I am a novice, I am changing a 60v 1500w 50a scooter controller on my xiaomi pro 2, with a 60v 1200w motor, I have several questions : on the engine, the green connector: what is its name. Because I have to find these green connectors to replace them on the connectors of the motor cables (yellow, green, blue of the controller) on the controller -how do we know what the connectors correspond to (jst, dupont, hb or sm)? And the pin spacings? -How do we know the diameters of the wires (28 awg, 22awg, 20awg or others?) because if I have to lengthen the wires, I must have the same diameters as the wires of the controllers? I have to buy some which crimping pliers should I buy in the different cases (dupont, jst, hb or sm)? for connection tests the batteries : 60v is good: 1 battery of 48v + 12v or 5 batteries of 12v? or 36v+12v+12v? during the test on the connection, must we absolutely have the appropriate voltage? What size of wires is needed? How to know the diameter of the wires (14Awg? 10Awg or others) to connect them in series For the brakes I have to connect the front and rear brakes on my controller - i have a single yellow plug (2-hole connector): high brake if I connect the front brake: 1 wire on the yellow cable and the 2nd wire of the brake I connect it or ? And how do I do it? -i have a white and black cable with white male and female connectors do I connect the rear brake to the male or female? Key contactor+tensiometer on the controller I have two orange wires with black connectors with two pins which is originally connected how do I know if the controller is on/off? When connecting the key contactor and the controller I have a wire that needs to be connected to the pole + battery? how do you connect this son to the battery +? I have a son who must be connected to the on / off of the controller on my controller I have two orange cables with black connectors with 2 male and female pins? Which ones do I need to connect to? For the connection what is the best technique: welding? Which welder do you recommend and wires? Are there other reliable methods instead of welding? thank for your help

Hello, if i do this to a eco drive v1 ebike's controller, do i have to still power on my battery with the key and then use the key on the keyignition?

Not really, you can leave your battery key switch permanently on and just use the key ignition to turn on and off.

Hi bro. Im trying to add a step down Voltage controller or a SAEC transformer from my bike battery and power it down to 12volt. However i want to add an on off switch in between the battery and transformer. Should i just use regular 12 volt switch in between those two?

@@MrJackfriday for intents and purposes and for general safety, we do not recommend you connecting your switch direct to battery. It drains battery power even in idle mode, and it’s not safe to use something that drains direct from battery while your controller is also pulling power from battery.
