I installed the update this morning on my OnePlus 12. Security patch is still April. Oneplus is a little bit slow in releasing new updates.

Security patches from OEM will include stability/security and bug fixes, smoothness is based on the OS that you have... so smoothness in terms of animations/transitions may not improve but lags and stutters may Go way
