sounds great! any chance you know why some turbos have compressor flutter/surge/wastegate chatter and some have none. the 6466 doesn't make much at all and it's just interesting as to why not. presume it's all in the cover or the weight of the rotational assembly?
@blrn547 күн бұрын
If you have no diverter valve or no bov a turbo will have chatter.
@psblah847 күн бұрын
@@blrn54 yeah just some turbos chatter more than others. just wondered since you seem to have gone through quite a few if you know what might cause them to chatter more or less

Intake will change the sound. What intake and do you have bov or diverter valve?

Really interested in this, when you do a update please show at what rpm it spools up, im considering this turbo for a build on a 3.6L engine i have and without a compressor map its hard to determine if this turbo would be too small or not, building an engine that i hope can be a very streetable 550hp
@blrn542 күн бұрын
It hits 20 psi at 3650rpm. I would go a larger turbo for a 3.6l engine.

Ah ok thanks yeah figured out what i need is more a G35 900, before i dicovered the G series i was looking at a GTX3576R which was very responsive and made the power im looking for at the desired boost pressure but according to the compressor map dropped off just a little too soon. the G35-900 fills that gap nicely@@blrn54

@@blrn54wait isnt your dyno run tomorrow, i hope it goes well and you achieve the results you are looking for!

@@dominiquevanwyk518 Im goingvto dyno in an hour. Ill test all boost levels 15-28psi maybe 30 if it can take it.
