By the way, you can install the Wii Menu via the Dolphin Emulator. Just click Tools, then hover/click on Perform Online System Update, then click on what region of the console you would like. But if you do the Wii Menu on Dolphin Emulator, you cannot open the Wii Shop Channel.

it's because the wii performs a hard reset when opening any game or channel which dolphin cannot emulate so it usually crashes

This is because Dolphin cannot launch applications from the main menu. The only way to fix this is to add wad files to your rom folder, and run them from the list. You must also enable their display in the view tab. PS. Sorry for bad English

Do a system update go to Tools>Perform Online System Update>Current Region Even if you have the latest all the preloaded channels will appear and will work!

got an error [ --- System Menu --- The System Menu is a critical part of the Wii boot sequence, and failure to install a proper WAD, failure to install its corresponding IOS module, and many other factors can cause a brick. The only safe way to mess with the System Menu is with BootMii boot2 installed.]

I am confused so I did the thing you did to install the wheat menu and installed the wide and everything and then when I go went to go launch like load the menu it says load Wii system menu 4.3 you I clicked on it it loaded up and everything but this channel's on it you said it came with no channels right I have the me channel the photo channel the Wii shop channel The weather channel forecast and the News channel oh could have been when I did it the opposite way of installing it the why I installed it was going through the project m launcher I tried to launch project m and it brought me to the Wii menu and I set it up and everything and that's probably how it worked

On Mobile, click the button in the top right to install the mii channel, then go to the files rather than the wii or GameCube and load it from there

The Reason GameCube games won’t work is because the menu version he installed is used mainly on Newer Wii’s. The Newer Wii’s did not have GameCube backwards compatibility. I installed a older version of the Wii Menu and GameCube games work.

I cannot get the Wii menu to load at all. Even on a fresh install and then doing it the NUS way. It just freezes and sits at a black screen. Installed the Mii Channel WAD and it works by launching it from the Dolphin menu. Followed your steps to the letter.

I had I question Since the NUS downloader can download all the necessary things to run a proper Wii, and sent it also gives the option for you to have virtual console games, I was wondering how you would download that onto dolphin emulator because every time I download a game like the original paper Mario, No WAD file would show up Even when I checked the box, so If I could have some help with this that would be great

I want to have the wii menu as a stand alone iso game file, so that i can run the wii menu, or the mii menu like a game in a frontend like hyperspin or launchbox? No you can't. This is a Wii emulator only meant for emulating Wii games. There's probably programs that can do this tho.

You can literally do a system update and it’ll create a Wii system menu WAD for those that didn’t know. And it comes with the basic channels, However if you want to add additional channels then you may need NUS Downloader

So I downloaded the American Wii Menu & Mii Channel (All Regions) first since I am American, but then I tried to get the Japanese version since it has more symbols for Miis, and I'm picky and need the symbols lol... anyway I downloaded the Japanese Home Menu WAD file and it works, but then the Mii Channel brings me straight back to the home menu; I started the Mii Channel WAD file through Dolphin so it would load the channel without having to go to the home menu and it loads the English Mii Channel... should I get rid of the American Wii Menus and keep the Japanese menu?

Nevermind. I deleted the titles folder in NUSD's folder and reinstalled the WAD, then it worked fine.
