the bottom "seal" is ineffective, with a 1/2" to 3/4" gap underneath, water can easily bounce under the "seal" over the lip in the threshold and out onto the floor. I would appreciate someone from Sterling explaining how that "deflector" is supposed to work 100%.

If the bottom is leaking and you're stuck with this door, you're better off spending $5-10 on a 0.165 inch T-style seal than using the poor excuse for a seal that's included. Cut it to the appropriate height and length and you'll greatly reduce or eliminate water getting beyond the threshold.

The seal is not very well explained at the bottom of the door

What do you do when the bottom of the shower is a quarter of an inch off? I have had 3 people try to install this with no luck. They say the difference is too large to shim.

My shower door exploded at 5:25 in the instructions :( It left us cut up. We were very careful, and put no pressure on the glass at all. Kohler is replacing it, but I am scared to try again at this point. This should not have happened!
