i bought my bmw e39 eonon from the website about 4 month ago. i still tinker with what it can do. a matter of fact i just downloaded a language learning app yesteryear. unit install was a piece of cake. the only bad thing is my accent lighting will not show. i go into the settings for the elements. i can touch the color and it will light up for 2 second the turn off. I'm still trying to figure it out so here i am 4 months later still looking for answers. i was going to buy another unit for my other e46 but at 425.00 the back lighting is a deal breaker. great sound. . love the blue tooth. today I'm going to hard line the obd II for my bmw software i purchased. but that back light is going to drive me nuts!

Get a 3D printed surround and Nexus 7" tablet. There's plenty of guides for this, including on Astra Owners Network if you Google them. You'll have to put your current display screen in your glovebox, behind glovebox or, if you have one, in a roof console part. It's not easy!

Hi Sorinn, will you install a universal 2 din or 1 din unit? If so, about the Steering wheel controls, there are two ways to realize this function : One is to use the CAN BUS decoder box to connect, which our 2 din/ 1 din unit can not support. Another method is using the AD conversion method, it usually has 3 or 4 control cables to connect , and this is what our product can be applied: A steering wheel control power cable +5 V A black is ground cable One or two data cables 1 or 2 Then please connect to the 3 or 4 wires of vehicle's steering wheel control correspondingly(SW1 to SW1, SWC2 to SWC2, GND to the ground). Dashboard: we can help you confirm that if you measure the dashboard and send us the data: panel size and install size. 2. Power plug: we also can confirm that for you if you show us the pictures. 3. Canbus: we cannot make sure this part, as it is a decoder which we have not tested it yet. It might fit. Therefore, with pictures, we can help you confirm the dashboard and the plug, but we cannot make sure if the canbus is compatible or not. Hope you understand, thanks.

Let me say, if you have a Vectra 2006 the radio is so big you will have to cut away car body pieces to make the unit fit! I still have many things to figure out (got in yesterday) 1) How do I save radio stations? 2) My iPhone4 does not share wifi easily ? 3) I still have no clue how/where I download a GPS map to a SD card. Tried Google Play, but it wont let me download anything to an Android on my PC (totally newbie at this)

I have a zafira B 2006 with an after market chinese 7 inch sat nav system, which was fitted by the previous owner it has the can bus adapter, fitted, but the previous owner made such a mess of the wiring I can't see what side of the can bus adaptor goes to the steering wheel controls. Also there's not much space to put all the wiring in behind the unit, I cannot get my hand in behind to feed the wires in.

Hi I'm the guy who made this vid :L that blue wire was my subwoofer one, I thought I'd install that as I added this headunit in. If you look at the wiring loom I originally had to splice into the original harness however with this headunit it was just a simple RCA input, sorry if that wasn't clear
