8/10 I own the car version of this kit plus the wheel well and grille lights and interior kit and I must say I am really impressed with the quality. I bought the kit almost 3 years ago and the lights still work. Only issue was the bluetooth receiver control box. I did have to replace the control box ($100) but other than that it is great. I installed the kit by myself in my garage I would say it does take a good 4 - 6 hours depending on what add-ons you get and how difficult routing the wires can be Installation tips!! - HIDE THE LIGHT BARS!! You should not be able to directly see the lightbar. This is important. Texas ( and many other states ) will allow under glow on the exterior of a vehicle as long as you cannot see the ledbar while it is on. I got a warning ticket from a very nice police officer and she explained I just had to hide the light bar better. - mount the main control box in the cabin. Do not mount the main control box in the engine bay. The little computer in that box can/will over heat during the summer times and you will be very upset. ( trust me found this out the hard way ) - Zipties. Don’t be afraid to use too many. You want to make sure those wires do not move around. And nobody will see them anyways. - Legal colors? This will vary by state but this is a general rule if you want to stay out of any trouble. NO red, blue, white. AND NO FLASHING OR CHANGING OF COLORS WHILE ON THE ROAD. Keep it a solid color (I prefer purple of pink ) and you will get no trouble. - keep wires away from any stereo wires or any other important circuits. This will cause EMI’s (interference)

Why is it recommended the wires go toward the back when the junction box is in the front? One, maybe two of mine would be short on wire.

The wires need to face a specific direction for the patterns to display properly.

How old is your kit? The newer bluetooth kits have a control box that is meant to be mounted in the engine bay.

@@Howdylyrics most shops around me are about 90 an hour or so I paid to have mind done it came out to 280 I was pleased with the customer service/ kit brightness and how long it lasted it still worked when I crashed my truck will be ordering a new kit for my new truck here soon

I just ran (2) 42” strips on the side because the dark section I front of rear wheels looks stupid and uneven

If you purchased this truck kit, it should have come with two 24" tubes to be installed on the sides in front of the rear tubes to get rid of that dark section.

@@ledglow exactly. The 24 inch lights on a full size pick up truck run short. I ordered an 42 for each side to run from wheel to wheel covering from front fender to the bed fender well. The 24 was too short

SO how did white wire go through firewall or dash? Figure that step is more important then telling people to ziptie lights up to frame.

It's pretty easy actually, just feed it through a grommet in the firewall.

The grommets to the firewall tend to be located on the footwell of the driver or passenger side. That's where I tend to find them on most cars. They can also be found around the dash but that makes for a more difficult instal

If the kit is turned off but courtesy lights are enabled from the app, the kit will turn on solid white when any of the vehicles doors are opened and then will turn off once the doors are shut. If the kit is turned on and a door is opened, the lights will switch to white and then turn back to the color you had set once the door has been closed.

Drilling will be the most secure way but yes, zip-ties can be used.

You can get the 4pc but there may be gaps in where the light doesn't shine on the ground. It really depends on the size of your truck.

That’s up to you on how well you want to install it. You can run loom from front to back and be fine

Neither does the vehicle. That truck will be in a junkyard before the zip tie starts to deteriorate. BUT I will say use better zip ties the ones supplied can be ripped apart by hand. I’ve broke a few installing
