Right now im doing the fire pump room the electrical. For 2 separate fire pumps two different clients in the same building. One 150hp and 60 hp pumps plus the 2 jocket pumps. I love doing the fire pump room.

The locked-rotor current is six times the FLC, so fire pump overcurrent protection must be sized higher than 6 times of the FLC. So in your example, 74.8A x 6 = 448.8A, that's why you will use 450A protection.
