Looks great! Love the look of metal/aluminum rails vs. wood. Not sure what railing code is in your area, where I'm at it calls for 4" max width between spindles and 6" at rise/run below bottom rail on stairs. Meaning a 6" sphere cannot pass through any gap below the bottom stair rail. This ultimately determines the height setting of the stair rails.

In general terms - the total cost of the railing was about equal to the cost of the trex decking - I believe somewhere around 2.5K for each.

Go to your local store that you'd be buying from or that sells the railing you want. And give the the dimensions of your deck. How tall, how wide, how long the stairs are from the landing ect. They will them look up the rail system you want and manually enter the dimension of your deck into their computer. The computer will make a virtual copy of your deck and it will have the rail system that you picked on it. It will tell you how many of each parts of the rail and posts you need and will tell you the cost of it all.

I think slope rail is set too high for golden triangle of 6 inch spear also posts need to be cut down

I second this, top of stair rail looks much better when its flush w/ top of level rail. Finished post height shouldn't be more than 5 inches above top of rail either. Little things make the difference!

Stair railing with the collar brackets is no joke. Fustrating as hell!!!
