Those lights look great! I have some amber SS3 combos on my Subaru and love them. For the install, I have to wonder why the client wouldn't want a Toyota-specific switch for the dash rather than that universal one.

This is a 3 way switch. One end for back light, the other for main beam. Do you know of a more OEM style switch that has a 3 way function? This is the switch that comes with the kit. I have done other installs that we used more of an OEM style switch but it was just a 2 way switch.

@@LightwerkzGlobal You probably cannot use the push button that I used because you will lose the back lighting. A light bar is only on and off.

What do you guys charge to do this set up if you already have the Diode lights? How long does it take to do? I missed it on your video. Also I did it in the past added a push button in the blank spot for my light bar. I’m not thrilled about removing the front bumper myself. Thanks.

I'm interested in this setup for my 4Runner, but rather than run a separate switch I'd like to use the high beam function to trigger it. The colored backlighting has no value to me. I also have a britebox already installed to let the fog lights (which are replaced with SS3 pods) run with the high beams. I was thinking that I could run the switch wires right into one of the fog light lines such that whenever the fogs are on, the relay for this rack is activated to turn the rack on. Do you see any problems with this idea? Do you have any suggestions for a reliable way to intercept the fog light lines for a trigger? Thanks!

💯 doable to run to high beam wiring. No need to connect anything to fogs. Basically you skip feeding wiring into the cabin. Likely can use an add a circuit to go direct to high beam fuse slot in front fuse box.

@@LightwerkzGlobal I like that idea, but I have a '23 4R with the LED headlights where the high beam just moves a shutter to let light go higher up above the road rather than employ a second bulb to emit more light. Do you know if this mechanism still has a separate fuse to tap into?

@@Telamonster2 Yes but you can also tap into the wiring on the back of the headlight, No worries with your idea. I see it working nicely!
