I am in the market for new driving lights at the moment , currently running 7 inch kings. I am looking to step up to a 9-inch set and pair with a light bar and 4 inch led work lights for reversing camera improvement, and I absolutely love the cable concealer 🎉❤

Great video and very informative. Since the birth of our daughter a few weeks ago I’ve started to rethink how our vehicle is set up for camping and touring. Previously I hadn’t really considered driving lights an essential requirement but now, anything I can do to make travel safer for my family is a good thing. We are planning a road trip from Newcastle to Tassie later this year and the Stedi’s would be a very welcome addition. Best of luck everyone!

Love your channel. Research shows that the light levels for older adults should be increased by at least 50% over those needed by younger people. As someone in my mid 70’s, who still enjoys off road driving, I really need these LED lights to replace my Cibie Oscars which seem to be getting dimmer as I age.

Great video Shauno, very well put together and timely as I’m just scouting the internet looking at the many options of LED driving lights after hitting a roo at 90km/h at night. The mighty Pajero survived the impact luckily but certainly made me realize it’s time for a set of spot lights!

It’s not the fact I need new ones it’s more so the fact I don’t have any at all !! Been trying to build my truck on a budget. Have done acouple trips and had to rely on the spot lights of the vehicles in front which ofc has led to afew punctures and other sorts of damage. Not ideal at all so the have had to put more mods on hold to cover the repair costs ! Have been waiting for the new stedi spotties to come out and have been trying to save a dollar where I can to one day afford them 👌🏻 love the show and all the advice and tips you guys give !! Keep it up

@yarpos Part of his reply is in USA "we can not run them on road" legally. I've got a mixture of floods and " spotty's " on my "fourbie's" no "Roo's" to run in roads but whitetails, moose, antelope, cattle ect ect. . Hitting a moose can be deadly in N. America. Another Yank here, that follows a few 4 Wheel things from there... 👍

Speak for yourself, I NEED BOTH SPOT AND FLOOD LIGHT for night driving. Here you have cows, sheep, reindeer and elk that run out into the road or just stand in the middle of the road blocking it with an entire reindeer flock. If I do not have good lights I would have to drive snow as snail, with good lights I can actually see them better during the night then in the day.

Finally someone who knows what they are talking about. Being saying similar for years. I am looking at a set of these for our school bus I drive in the upper murray. Deer are hard to see at night, and when driving back from Albury to Corryong, it's a challenge seeing them. We have a cheap set until our finances mean we can donate a set to the community bus we use.

Great show and very informative. You mention IP68 and 3m of water but the thing most people don't consider is driving down the highway at 80km/h in pouring rain, this is when you are going to get potential ingress as the speed forces the water in every hole. Another is a hot light being splashed with cold water, hot lights expand increasing the opportunities for water ingress. IP68 or IP69 tested and certified is the only answer to this and Stedi have stood by their products for many years ensuring your money is well spent. Love the channel and a set of Stedi lights would look fine on the front of my Everest.

I NEED THOSE SPOTTIES SHAUNO because I moved to the US and I just bought a 1994 Toyota 4runner, or Hilux surf as they're called back home. Its stock as a rock in mint condition so I can't wait to get it ready for the tracks out here. I watch all of your videos and it makes me miss home so much, thats why I went and got me a fourby! Cleared up alot of myths, Cheers. Living 30km out of down down a track with the regular dive home at night a set of spotties are a must, but the price of living is limiting the mods to the car. Every month i try to pack the family up and head off the beaten track to find free camps and cool farm camps for the weekend, usually arriving pretty late trying to dodge the roos, so it would be nice to se them before hitting them.

Nice vid Shauno. Great to see you filming in my neck of the woods. Recognized it straight away. The first roads I drove when I was old enough to drive. great to see your trying to help people while plugging your pocket with those awesome looking stedi units. It may be a good idea to inform people about road regs when it comes to Lights, here in vic if they are forward of your "B" piller or behind or above your bull bar bar they are considered camping lights and the switch must not be able to be reach by the the driver while driving, This why I need the Stedi lights because I got defected and had to disconnect my roof mounted light bar which doesn't fit my bar, those steady units would make my rig shine day and night. keep the information coming, well done .

My partner and I just bought our first ever 4WD after years of dreaming and talking about it! We're so excited to get it fully set up for touring...our bank account is significantly less excited 😂. Winning a set of Stedi's would be a huge savings that we can put towards the long list of mods to go and quality recovery gear. Either way, we have both learnt so much from this channel and it's given us the nudge of confidence (however misplaced) to take a more hands-on approach with our build so we can continue to learn as we go 😁

Just had a Prado 4x4 written off with a first set of spotties on em. A new pair of Stedi's would be awesome for my new Hilux cause I'm a bowhunter and hunting through rural properties is basically impossible without a good set of spotties. A good set of spotlights would be perfect for the night time spotlighting meat missions and exploring new properties. Thanks for sharing the knowledge and helping everyone around ya. Cheers

Just watched your video and you did a great job in explaining things in regards to spotties! My partner and I recently downgraded from our Ford Ranger because with my back issues, I was really struggling to get in and out, so we got a Nissan QASHQAI, which we love. We live in a regional area and night time driving can be hazardous at times. We've recently installed a good quality nudge bar in it and would love to finish her off with an awesome pair of spotties! Keep up the good work!

Hi mate, been watching your show since 2004, back in 4WD Action days. I finally saved up to get my own 4x4, a 2004 GU Patrol. Slowly setting it up for truing, doing a bit at a time when I can afford it. Haven't got any light yet, would be awesome to have a cool set of spotlights, and would help me out a lot. Planning my first big trip to Barred Creek WA in the next couple of months. Love the show, and have taken a lot nots, and cooking tips lol cheers

Love the channel been following for some time now on multiple accounts, you guy’s actually inspired me to buy a 4x4 and I’ve made it my mission to tour and see our beautiful country Australia. Slowly building my 4jj1 Colorado into a tourer/camper, kind of hard to do being a 21 year old on a tight budget but it’s getting there slowly! These spotties would help me with the build by a ton! As well as they look primo as! currently saving up for a simple 12V system for a second hand fridge I’ve bought. Love the channel and everything you guys do! Been following the instagrams as well as rocking some snatch merch when I head out to the tracks. Keep up the great work keen for this Thursday vid! 🤙 🍻

To be honest Shauno, I don't even have any LED lights, my dad is too tight on money that he saids he'll never get a pair. We just got a camper that we love going to places with but when driving the long tyring straight roads at night, it's so obvious that just our standard driving lights are nowhere near what we need. the Stedi type X Evo would help out so much and would make the trips around the places a whole lot safer aswell. Hopefully I could be considered in the competition. Cheers Shauno and the rest of ya

Love the channel! I need a new set for my new daily! Driving through the dark mountain roads every day is no good with the stock headlights! Good luck everyone!

Awesome coverage mate. New Spotties on my Everest is absolutely needed. The 2018 Everest does not have Led Lights and the standard lights you might as well be driving with a hallway night light. I have put a Kings Lightbar on it which compensates a bit but is more like a kerosene lamp on mounts 😂

Hi 4WD 24/7 love all the videos you do and makes me wish to be with you. I just recently bought a Toyota Hilux n80 2018 model and it pretty much stock and me as a rover scout want to go 4WD in it so badly but it’s need the required gear like bull bar, racks and suspension upgrade but a STEDI spot lights would be amazing to have. I already have the STEDI fog lights put in which i installed myself and can’t wait to do more. Love you guys on what you do and where you go it reminds me of all the memories when I when to some of those magnificent places. 😊

Thanks guys for another great video!! I need a new set of Stedi Type X Evo spotties because my current HID's just aren't cutting it...I fitted a Stedi 3303 Pro bar and its awesome, but the colour temp difference and lower light output from the "other" brand HID's actually cause me eye strain, the Type X Evo's in a combo set would fix that eye strain and make offroad driving much safer for me! Cheers, Foxy!

These spotties would be a total game-changer for my nav when I'm tearing up the beach and the sun goes down, these bad boys would become my own personal sun lighting up the sand and keeping me safe and letting me enjoy the view and also show off a little. Believe me once I try em I'll never want to hit the beach without em.

Hi Shaun, thank you for the information. I picked this vid as we were looking for information on what to get. We are trying not to go overboard with our new 4x4, but have recently driven in central Australia and realized having good night time driving lights will help us travel better and safer. The competition was a bonus ;)

I could definitely use a set of those! They would have prevented me driving my Ford F150 into a pond as I crested a hill following my friend's up a trail that literally went around the edge of the pond I came up the hill and didn't see it in time and dunked my front end in the water luckily the Boyes were quick to hook up to us and pull us out before my motor took on water! We saved my truck but what if I was alone I would have lost my truck! Love the show guys keep up the Great work!

I just came back from a trip from Meandarra I have the bullbar but not the spotlights. 3am in the morning I lost count of the amount of kangaroos I saw. This video is a great source of information for people looking to buy, thanks Shauno.

gday Shauno, I just bought a nudge bar to fit some lights on my rig, Im a bit hesitant from light bars and spotties, just started off roading and have got an 09 Colorado with the old halogen high beams, jeez they aren't bright enough to spot roos, I've hit 2 recently as I live on a backroad out of town, this video has helped with what I should put on, Thanks heaps

Arvo Shauno. I've got a new D-Max on order as my first ever four wheel drive. Stedi's have always been on my radar for a set of driving lights to buy as I plan on unleashing my inner adventurous spirit to finally make it out of QLD 🤣. I find the Type X Evo's shape suits the aggressive lining of the D-Max's headlights and would absolutely love to see them on my new rig. Always appreciate the video content as it has inspired me to get out and take my first steps exploring Australia! Best of luck to everyone else!

Nice video. Good commonsense advice. My Troopy needs some new lights. The old spottoes are dead. She's had a camper conversion and a lot of upgrades. The lights are the last thing I need. Then she'll be ready for action. Can't wait to light up the track with a pair of STEDI's.

Hi 24/7 Crew, Life for me is about to change big time. I've always been happy driving the missus car with the standard headlights, but that's all about to change with our first child due today(22nd) The more light the better to help us see down the road further to protect our little growing family.

Great info! Really needed this to help me pick a set of lights. It is my next upgrade since im driving from Canberra to the snow every weekend at 5am with my little man in the backseat. Those roos come out of nowhere and id rather see a wombat before it decides to go under my rig 😮
