Personally, if I were to receive the lights I would pass it on to my best mate bc we're both financially struggling, but I think seeing the joy on my friends face would make me more happy then if I was to receive it for myself.

Your 4x4 videos inspired me to get a 4x4 myself. I am slowly building it up for more longer trips to explore the beauty that Ausie has to offer. With these lights night driving would be another amazing sight to see and keep us safe in the Ute.

Great video and very informative. Since the birth of our daughter a few weeks ago I’ve started to rethink how our vehicle is set up for camping and touring. Previously I hadn’t really considered driving lights an essential requirement but now, anything I can do to make travel safer for my family is a good thing. We are planning a road trip from Newcastle to Tassie later this year and the Stedi’s would be a very welcome addition. Best of luck everyone!

Great video Shauno, very well put together and timely as I’m just scouting the internet looking at the many options of LED driving lights after hitting a roo at 90km/h at night. The mighty Pajero survived the impact luckily but certainly made me realize it’s time for a set of spot lights!

Love your channel. Research shows that the light levels for older adults should be increased by at least 50% over those needed by younger people. As someone in my mid 70’s, who still enjoys off road driving, I really need these LED lights to replace my Cibie Oscars which seem to be getting dimmer as I age.

@yarpos Part of his reply is in USA "we can not run them on road" legally. I've got a mixture of floods and " spotty's " on my "fourbie's" no "Roo's" to run in roads but whitetails, moose, antelope, cattle ect ect. . Hitting a moose can be deadly in N. America. Another Yank here, that follows a few 4 Wheel things from there... 👍

My partner and I recently downgraded from our Ford Ranger because with my back issues, I was really struggling to get in and out, so we got a Nissan QASHQAI, which we love. Thanks for another awesome and informative video Shauno! My 4wd will definitely benefit from a new set of spotties as the stock headlights aren't the best and the high beam doesn't make much of a difference at all, so a new set of Type X Evo's will definitely aid in those night time drivings far from the city were visibility is minimum and when you are out in the bush searching for a campsite. These lights will definitely increase confidence when driving at night which will also make for a safer journey.

great to see your trying to help people while plugging your pocket with those awesome looking stedi units. It may be a good idea to inform people about road regs when it comes to Lights, here in vic if they are forward of your "B" piller or behind or above your bull bar bar they are considered camping lights and the switch must not be able to be reach by the the driver while driving, This why I need the Stedi lights because I got defected and had to disconnect my roof mounted light bar which doesn't fit my bar, those steady units would make my rig shine day and night. keep the information coming, well done .

Great show and very informative. You mention IP68 and 3m of water but the thing most people don't consider is driving down the highway at 80km/h in pouring rain, this is when you are going to get potential ingress as the speed forces the water in every hole. Another is a hot light being splashed with cold water, hot lights expand increasing the opportunities for water ingress. IP68 or IP69 tested and certified is the only answer to this and Stedi have stood by their products for many years ensuring your money is well spent. Love the channel and a set of Stedi lights would look fine on the front of my Everest.

Always enjoy your videos Shaun. I need the light upgrade as I drive to work on night shift at the bakery. They would definitely make for safer trips and would look good as well as usefull.

Amazng video. So much good accurate info. I could use a set of lights for my stock Jeep Wrangler. The headlights are like candels and I am moving to KY for med school. Going to be dodging a lot of deer. As a daily driver these lights will save me driving at night in rural KY. Thanks Shauno!

Shauno just saved the money for my new bullbar and those stedi type x evos would look so good on it and provide the perfect night driving experience. 😊

Being a new owner to the 4x4 scene I’m learning a lot about them and know lights are an integral part of the setup. I would love to get a set of these beasts because we are also outfitting a tradies trailer to become a camper trailer so we can get it to the specs we want. Winning these lights would be awesome! Also look forward to camping in the warmer months so a lot of inner land driving.

Cleared up alot of myths, Cheers. Living 30km out of down down a track with the regular dive home at night a set of spotties are a must, but the price of living is limiting the mods to the car. Every month i try to pack the family up and head off the beaten track to find free camps and cool farm camps for the weekend, usually arriving pretty late trying to dodge the roos, so it would be nice to se them before hitting them.

Well sadly I live in Nashville Tennessee. But I still want to say I’d love to own a set of stedi lights someday for my 5th gen 4runner. I’ve got an arb bumper and have some good rigid 6” lights that I love. But stedis are my dream lights. I love y’all’s show and am forever grateful for it. It’s gotten me through some rough times the last few years and I’m forever grateful for y’all’s insight and love for off roading. Someday I’m coming to Australia and would love to at least meet you guys! Keep doing what you are doing!

Great Video Shaun. We are just about to pick up a new 4WD and would love to fit an new set of STEDI's to it as we do a lot of night driving in rural Queensland. We have a Stedi light bar on my farm ute and these are incredible lights and would look great on our new 4WD. Keep up the great videos.

Awesome info Shauno 👌 Taking the family on a massive road trip to QLD in September, a trip we've been saving for for a long time now, and we'll be driving the Mrs's old 120 Prado. It's bog stock standard, don't even have a set of driving lights fitted, and we'll be doing a bunch of evening and night time driving through the bush. A set of these edri ing lights would go a long way towards safe night driving and piece of ind with the fa I'll on board. Keep the great vids rolling mate 👍

Thanks again for another informative video. I'm still running Lightforce HID's - yep takes forever to light up, but it's a tough choice these days to make the right change without breaking the bank. See you on the tracks.

So, I purchased a Kings light bar and upgraded the cars headlamp globes and have been pleasantly surprised by the performance. I was also pleasantly surprised by the small (relatively) current draw from the light bar. Now, I’m a Cibie Oscar fella from way back and the Led is a revelation in comparison, with one minor drawback, the light bar is great at the wide box light throw, but I’m missing the beam down the middle of the road, I’m considering adding specific spotlights to compliment the bar, or replace the bar and now that I know you can get pencil beam styles as well, that’s yet another game changer. Thank you for this very enlightening (god I’m funny) video, I learned heaps….cheers.

Thanks a very useful video I’m researching as I just had to trade in my husband’s Ute and get something more suitable as sadly he passed away and I live rural Australia and he had good spot lights on his now I’m trying to find some to put on this car I brought and this in another reminder on how I relied so much on his experience and opinion. I now have some very good tips from you on what to look for and it’s a definite on the spread/distance so thanks again.

Hi mate, been watching your show since 2004, back in 4WD Action days. I finally saved up to get my own 4x4, a 2004 GU Patrol. Slowly setting it up for truing, doing a bit at a time when I can afford it. Haven't got any light yet, would be awesome to have a cool set of spotlights, and would help me out a lot. Planning my first big trip to Barred Creek WA in the next couple of months. Love the show, and have taken a lot nots, and cooking tips lol cheers

I've just bought my first newer car 2 weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to have a bulbar previously installed. I am heading up to Townsville for a camping trip with a few of the lads from work, well be up there for a fair while, I've had a few encounter with kangaroos in my old 75 series and one of the last roo's I saw took out my whole front end. If that happened to my new car i would be devastated. So a set of spotties on the front would do wonders for me. Great video Shauno, loving the content.
