@John2r14 жыл бұрын
@@AtrociousAK47 True but you have to calculate that these Drop Pods are basically Titanium-A ,Ceramic composite tank level armored pods over Tungsten armor plates over a shock absorbent later over a heat resistant inner layer dropping at near terminal velocity only slowing down to around 500mph before crushing anything in their path. Between the shock factor , horror of seeing your superior turned into a pancake along with everyone near his or her position along with being thrown several meters from where you were if you got lucky considering ODSTs try to land in the same relative drop zone. Now your confronted by a bunch of black armored , faceless 6ft to 6ft 5in tall , 230 plus lbs soldiers who are literally just mowing down anything that moves. Their body armor is layered and consists of Titanium-A Ceramic composite plating like the Drop pod followed by Kevlar microwave untilities with a hydrostatic gel layer that helps with shock and heat reduction all this coated in a heat resistant coating. Basically the ODSTs literally drop from orbit and don't hit the breaks until they are something like 20 miles above the targets. Command and Conquer drop pods while armed with a vulcan cannon the light infantry do hit the breaks a lot sooner than ODSTs do. With GDI pods landing 75 mph which is well within the survival rate for an unaugmented human. Yeah the ODSTs like the rest of the UNSC military are slightly augmented via a combination of biochemical, surgical and cybernetics. Every soldier, sailor , airman and Marine is issued a neural interface upon entry into the UNSCDF. So yeah ODSTs can take more punishment than any human can dish out and return the favor in spade's. Prior to the Spartan IIs the ODSTs where the OG badasses of the UNSC. It's unknown how many of the older brass in the ODSTs are Spartan 1s but SGT,Maj. Johnson was a veteran ODST and Spartan 1. If that's any kind of hit why adding weapons to a drop pod that's hitting with enough force to level buildings is just overkill to ODSTs. Besides chances are the weapons would get damaged in the drop.

ODSTs deserve their own A.I. that’s different than the marines. Maybe even adding more dialogue so they communicate to their squad mates during combat, noticeable enough to make them seem as if they’re an actual single moving unit. React to a fallen squad mate, maybe drag an injured squad mate away or do maneuvers during combat together.

9:14 - 9:28 That's a really cool detail. When SpaceX's Falcon 9 booster re-enters the atmosphere and deploys its grid fins, they produce a very audible sonic boom. Even cooler is that whenever they fly Falcon Heavy and land both boosters at once, you can hear one sonic boom after the other as the landing sequence for both boosters is nearly synchronized.

Starship Troopers uses layered egg shaped shells that fit around the armored trooper. As the shell travels the outer layer burns off, the intermediate layers peel off and reflect radar waves to mitigate anti air targeting the trooper as the last layers peel away from the trooper when they are ready to jet pack to the ground. Both insertion methods are neat, but the money is split between the Starship Troopers power armor and the ODST drop pods. ST drop accuracy is ship pilot dependent while the SOEIV can correct its course. Trooper wise, the STs carry nukes while ODSTs are only as strong as the men who make the cut.

Hey wondering if we will ever get Helldivers lore? Love your content man. Would love to see the “Adjacent” If not parallel between the two pods

I’d like to see one of these on a custom starship, starfighter, and mjolnir variant of your imagination. Bit of a pipe dream though.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the halo 3 odst drop pod different from the one in halo 2 and 3? The one in odst is more angular and the one in halo 2 and 3 is more shaped like a box, for those who didn't know there were drop pods in halo 3 You can find an abandoned drop pod on the mission the ark. It's right before you pass the crashed longsword, its on the side i think under the destroyed pelican if you saw general kidds video on that

Could you make a video on feature of armor variants that would late be added to the standard Mjolnir? And maybe ones that you think should be added in the future?

It really stumps me that every time they drop, there's a 25% chance they don't even make it to the _ground_ alive.

With the echo it sounds like you're giving a lecture in the hangar of a UNSC frigate.
