Installed 9" Touchscreen Stereo in Crossfire Roadster

Installed an SSL 9" Touchscreen to replace another aftermarket head unit in the Roadster. Since a previous owner had hacked up the wiring, instead of taking everything apart and trying to trace it to the stock amp, subwoofer and crossovers, I decided to just start from scratch and I ran new wiring from the new stereo directly to the speakers.

This is epic, as I was looking precisely something like this. My crossfire has the stock unit and no changes from purchases, does this mean I should be able to change the units and literally plug and play or will have another to get sound installation to do it? Thanks, David 😃👍🏼

Some years have past since your post, but I have a few questions. If I still have original stereo in my car, will this unit be a plug and play? Also, does it have a full screen navigation? Thanks.

So then you bypassed the under floor amp?

I have the one from pioneer that sits inside the deck and then flips up. I have a PlayStation 1 hooked up to it but it also plays dvds. I got the e brake adapter so you can use it while driving. All I need to do now is paint it silver.

Did that SSL 9” Touchscreen come with the “detachable” dash unit or did you have to buy that separately?

It all comes together. So you get the single din radio with the connector for the touchscreen and the touchscreen comes with it. Nothing else to buy.
