When installing a culvert like this, should you always cover with crusher run like that instead of just covering with dirt? Especially on a small creek crossing?

It depends on the on the material, I have covered them with dirt at times and not had any problems, on this one we used gravel because we didn't have any excess clean dirt and the gravel doesn't get muddy and soft when it gets wet. Thanks for watching and have a great night. 🙂
