They cut the carpet from factory for the latches as a H shape, and tucked the two loose flaps under the bars

Before I tear up my carpet. Do you know if all tahoes have the pre drilled holes/welded nut?

You don't have to "tear" the carpet up, it's not actually fastened to the floor. The trim pieces hold it in place. To answer your question, I do not know if they all have it but you can check by removing the trim at the rear and pulling the carpet up just enough to look in there or go underneath and look.

im in the same situation right now, all you have to do is look underneath ur tahoe and you can see the nuts
