Installing 1320 Downpipe on my 20 WRX

In this video I'll be installing a catted 1320 performance downpipe on my 2020 wrx. The install didn't go exactly as planned but once I got it on it sounded great! I will have a sound clip video up very soon!

My downpipe bolts did the same damn thing! I had to actually have someone weld sockets onto them to get them off.

Didn't really think about that. But its a significant difference over stock for sure. Feels like a whole different car. But I have so much going on with the car now it was only on the stage 2 map for 1 day so I didn't even think about it. I will post a review for the downpipe after another week or 2!

@@StreetInspired1 at the end of the mouth am gonna be going from stock to stage 2plus, I have everything just waiting to get install and protune, I didn't wanna use access port still I got protune

@@Flatbushfonz Good call! The ots map isn't known to be the most reliable and you'll definitely get more reliability out of a e tune or a protune!

I ordered it with the downpipe on ebay. However it looks like as of right now they're out of stock

@@StreetInspired1 ah okay! Do you absolutely need it? Or will it bolt up to the oem pipe?

@@minecraft5501 It will bolt up just fine but over time it may start to leak at the connection. The adapter is just supposed to help it from leaking

I got the same exact downpipe as you and I got the downpipe installed but the second pipe won’t like up with my stock catback? Any ideas or tips would be much appreciated since I can’t figure it out for the life of me😂 love the car tho man!

Where does the ground strap go? I assume there’s no spot for it on the new j-pipe.

The 1320 Downpipe has a threaded hole for the oem ground strap and bolt

I just ordered mine waiting for it now. I was do my research and a lot of people took off the restrictor pill when installing j pipe and putting stage 2+ did you do that and is it a must??

Cobb Stage 2+ Map is a map that assumes you have a catted downpipe, a Cobb SF intake and boost restrictor pill removed. Removing the pill is super easy and i would suggest doing it. You didn't see me do it in the video because I have a grimmspeed boost control solenoid. But you're gonna love the downpipe!

When you run the ots tune for about 2 weeks? how does it feel? any problems to the readings on the accessport?

Not really any problems. But I was getting knock and wonky air fuel ratios because the ots map is meant for the cobb SF intake and I have the mishimoto so the maf reading and everything werent calculated right but I only drove it a few times like that. If you have the cobb parts the ots map is okay but every car is different so the best performance will be from a protune.

@@cayzerjin128 you'll definitely be fine with that! Just make sure to remove the boost restrictor pill after the downpipe and you should be golden!

Did you use the OTS stage 2+cobb map? Or you had an etune map?

Yesir thats what I used. It felt sorta choppy and had weird surges when just cruising but my guess is because of using a mishimoto intake instead of the cobb intake. But im protuned now so its not a problem anymore.

On ebay. It came with the downpipe as a package deal if you just search the 1320 downpipe for 15+ wrx with adapter it should pop up.
