*This battery reconditioning program exceeded my presumptions. It worked on any drill battery, several AA and AAA batteries, **batery.repair** and any camera battery. The steps are simple and the act itself is exciting to do. No matter what type of battery you`ve got, it is sure to function again!*

Two years later this motor is going strong kzbin.infoUgkxBZWgzfpS2Jj7JqIHyaSZjyVHNUgCKCBf Just uploaded a video of it after 2 years. We use it probably a dozen days each year on our small raft.-original review- We got this motor the other day and tested it out. I don't have anything to compare it to, but it seems good to me. It has all the features advertised - the motor housing is metal. We will see how it performs longer term and I will revise this review if needed. Some initial observations:- Good thrust, moves our boat around really well- It comes with a circuit breaker but no switch - so there's no way to kill the motor other than yanking the connection off the battery. I installed an inline switch.- The mount bracket is plastic and I worry it might break- There are a number of plastic parts that I worry about, but the most important ones are metal or some kind of composite

I run a minn kota 24 volt all terrain, I suggest deep cycle batteries with minimum 800 amps each tied in series as shown. Depends on lb thrust of the motor, mine is 65lbs and this works great. 80lb and up, go with minimum 900 amps each, and never use a crank/start battery for a trolling motor, Deep cycle/start is fine.

Scott can still get a 12 volt line out of the 24 volt system for sonar and lights and acc. off of either battery thanks.

No you cannot run accessories off of one of the batteries that are tied together in 24v system as the accessories will be running off 12v. You will pop fuses or burn out anything requiring only 12v. The separate battery used for accessories and starting the main motor should be charged with the altenator. I suggest buying a 2 bank on board charger for the 24 volt trolling system, when you come off the water simply plug in to an A/C outlet. Always make sure ONLY the trolling motor sees 24 volts

I already have a steady supply of 36v lithium ion packs, but I'm yet to find a 36 volt trolling motor, anywhere! I did refrain from using expletives, though I was thinking of them at this time.

I want to fix my boat so that my engine uses only the cranking battery and the trolling motor only pulls off the deep cycle battery. Is there a way to hook up a single 12v deep cycle battery to my trolling motor and also connect it to the outboard so that it will charge on the run back, but the outboard will not pull off it?

If I have an existing 24 volt system can I upgrade to a 36 volt without having to change my TM plug or the existing fuses?? Essentially all I want to do is add a battery in back without making any changes to the wiring through the boat nor to the female plug. Thanks. TK

I have 2 deep cycle marine batteries for my trolling motor and a cranking battery as well. Should all of them be in line together? I am only getting about 4 hours out of my trolling motor. Could it possibly be a fuse? I recently had my boat serviced, and am not sure everything got hooked up correctly. I replaced the batteries, hoping it would solve the problem, but the new batteries still don't last more than 4 hours????

I'm new at installing trolling motors and fish locators. I have a new boat that I am setting up. I bought a Minn Kota Terrova 80 lb 24 volt trolling motor. I now see how to set up 2 batteries for 24 volts for the trolling motor. My question is can I hook up my humminbird Helix 9 to one of the 2 batteries or do I need to get a forth battery including the starting battery? Thanks!

I have a 24v trolling motor and a 12v starting battery. My charger is a Dual Pro 3 bank 12/24/36v charger. How do I wire the charger to the three batteries without having to disconnect any of the battery wires or can it be done this way? I haven't seen anything like what I'm asking. Thanks in advance!

Do you recommend optima gell Cell batteries for the trolling motor? If yes why do you like them over a AGM battery? What group size do you recommend 27 or 34?

Hello, I need a little advice. I'm thinking about buying a 24v trolling motor...If I run a three battery system...one starter and two for a trolling motor on a 24 volt system. Can you run all your accessories off of one of the batteries being used on the 24 volt system? Also...I'm running a Mercruiser 130hp. Will the alternator charge all three, and what batteries or battery should be getting the charge. Currently I'm running two batteries. Thanks.

I have a question. My boat is a bit older. The trolling motor is a 12V system. I want to upgrade my motor but the new ones are all 24V or larger. Other than the obvious (hooking up another battery) do I need to replace all the wiring as well if it's still in good shape?

I am about to hook up at 24V trolling motor. My buddy who is a physics major says that you can still use the other batteries for 12V as long as you only hook into 1 battery per device. That being said, I am worried about it. I'm gonna hook up batteries for 24V, then put volt meter on a single battery. It should read 12V. Then I'll be okay with running other electronics off of it. Can anyone confirm or negate this? Thanks
