HEIGHT WARNING, POV FILMED VIDEO MAY CAUSE DIZZINESS.
We're pushing along on a 3,000SF farmhouse duplex, on a lot that is going to make the building process much more difficult. With overhead powerlines, a foundation that sits a whopping 12" away from a block wall, we've got our work cut out for us.

It’s Friday, it’s payday! What’s everyone up to this weekend? Hope you’re all well! This video was (I thought) scheduled for Wednesday, but it never posted.. Here it is! 😅

I am an undergrad Civil Engineer student who graduated last year, been practicing designing residential and custom homes for a short time, your channel helps me understand the most complicated structure of any building, the roof. I don't get much site visit opportunity, but seeing your videos and understanding how a lot of the "framing" works is super helpful to a young engineer!! Thank you for all the tips and showing how it is constructed!!

Use to build house shells in construction back in 1983 -1987. I started before in construction back in 1981 .Plus I built my parents house and mine back in 2000. No more for me. Thats type of work is hard and dangerous. Its a gratifying feeling to live in a home built with your own hands.

Back a few years ago we dropped a truss into the house, nearly crushing two people. We haven't NOT used a crane sense. 500$ to save hours of hard work and it's way easier.

Framers are just ninja's with a nailgun, great balance! walking on a small board while holding the truss in the wind and picking up your gun..awesome!

As a framer from OK whose crew has no equipment and most of our walls, trusses, deckboard everything is moved by hand, I am very inspired by you and your crew's work ethic skill and knowledge. Keep up the fire content Matt & bang on!

Ah, THAT really showed the importance of plumb, straight walls and a good layout method! With those three things, you can presume correct spacing, and plumb trusses happen almost automatically. Excellent, and how it SHOULD (but usually isn't) done! Inspiring and a lesson on how it should be done.
