I have a 2nd Gen and a 4th Gen 2500 truck. They both look good in their own right. I think that the conversion you did looks pretty cool and now I'm thinking that I may have to do this someday. I live in Michigan and the salt has done terrible things to both of my trucks but I like the look of that set up you have. I personally would leave the chrome that way it is. Then again, I'm a chrome freak, always have been...

chrome doesn't look bad on these conversions. Usually the lighter colors look bad because it makes the gap between the headlights more noticeable...

Looks perfect, keep it chrome. I would do a clasic black body with white roof. White/ wood dashboard and gentelman seats patern. Mine still has the oldscool chrome wheels and in now want to change my bumper as well. This was a really helpfull installing video.

Living in Massachusetts, I'd be using a hell of alot more than just krylon paint. Be putting NH oil on that whole truck or it wont survive. And a new bumper will be the last thing you be worried about.

I have a 2nd gen too and I did change the bumper too but I didn't do it for looks and installed a ~111 lbs. "Cow Catcher" instead to protect my 512K miles engine since the insurance wan't give me rats crap if my untouched 12 valve engine will get hurt by one of these race care drivers who seem to be all over the place nowadays!

Ram hasn’t changed the actual frame of the truck since the second gen so you could swap over the whole body if you want

I don't understand your using regular hex-headed bolts, where the new bumper has clearly punched square holes made for carriage headed bolts. This would make it much easier to tighten the bolts/nuts since the heads are already captured in the bumper, leaving only the nuts to contend with. Just my $0.02.

Ez P this one is off a 2011 2500. but you can get them from dodge, or lmc truck. but if you want a cheaper non oem then I believe rockauto has some.

If you still need help, go to ebay. If you have fogglight holes, tha 2 brackets look like big Ps with a hole for tha lights. If you have tow hooks, tha 2 mounts look different, one bigger, 1 smaller.

I only seen you remove the old bumper bolts from the main bracket. Mine has 4 points of connection. A bar that runs to both corners. I'm guessing there is only 2 connection points on the 4th gen from this vid
