Installing 800 Amps Service Parallel feed To Chiller On Roof Top

We are installing a 800 Amps Parallel field service which will run a chiller on the rooftop we will prefab 4 inch EMT conduit to the disconnect and pull wire from chiller to the disconnect. and wait on the city to turn off power at the transformer and tie in to our primary side of disconnect.

nice work, ignore the haters. would have been nice to see more of the tugger on the roof tho. im on a similar project but we are forbidden to use LB's anywhere.. EOR was surely hurt by one as a child.

600 is too hard to pull through raceways so we do what’s call a parallel feed meaning we use 3 sets of 350Awg to supply the 800amp It would be like you have 800 cars on a single lane road it would be a traffic but if you have the same amount of cars on a 4 lane road it would be easier to handle, it’s the same concept with the amps going through multiple wires going to the same place. What size conductors from disconnect to chiller, and are there three conductors per phase because of the amount of current draw a d how much current will the chiller draw? Cool video

The specs was 700Amp so they requested 800Amp service for the chiller. To make life easier we did 3 runs of 350KC Mills Parallel fed. So a total of 3 conductors in each pipe which is just right for 800Amp or little more. Hope this helps.
