So thankful you made this video, there is hardly any info out there about these springs!
@OverlandAdventureTimes2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I stumbled across them on, I think it was a Trailblazer or Envoy forum of all places. They are such a better option than a tall spacer!

I have a 2005 tahoe would those fit my truck aswell??
@OverlandAdventureTimes Жыл бұрын
Yup, the rear coils interchange from '00 up to like 2018 or so.

Did you ever install the rear sway bars?
@OverlandAdventureTimes Жыл бұрын
I did! Used the TeraFlex links for a 3-4" lift JK. Put em on before our trip to Alaska, and definitely appreciated the on-road performance over that many miles!

Hey Id like install the same springs! Wondering if you ever installed longer sway bar links? Did the Jeep ones work out?? If so, like you tell me the part number?
@OverlandAdventureTimes2 жыл бұрын
I actually decided to leave them off. Did the same up front after installing the torsion keys, which stiffens things up. It's definitely biased to off-road performance, on road it will be up to personal preference. The jeep ones for the rear should still be a bolt on replacement from what I could see.

@@OverlandAdventureTimes Ah okay, indeed I’ve heard others opt for leaving them off as well for more flex off-road. Do you know which model/year Jeep links will work for the Yukon?
@OverlandAdventureTimes2 жыл бұрын
For the rear, it was JK Wranglers, and for my ride height, ones for 3 or so inches of lift seemed to be the right length

Boss, how did you do one spring at a time?
@OverlandAdventureTimes2 жыл бұрын
I just lowered the side I was working on as much as possible. I'm not able to get it as high as I would like in my driveway with the gear I have, but it still worked with some persuasion. Any taller of a spring, and I would have had to disconnect more stuff and drop the whole thing down.

Do you happen to know if the springs will fit on a 2008 Tahoe/GMT900, since some of the rear suspension parts are interchangeable.
@OverlandAdventureTimes2 жыл бұрын
Yes, the rear springs should be exactly the same!

Also how do those Skyjacker coils handle heavy weight and bounce?
@OverlandAdventureTimes2 жыл бұрын
They seem good so far. They are the same spring rate as the Moog 81069s, so they should feel similar. I'm still without the rear sway bar, so body movement is more noticeable, but with that hooked up, I don't think it would be that different. I found some Terraflex JK rear links that should be a perfect fit back there.

@@OverlandAdventureTimes Thanks for the videos. Just bought an 04 XL Denali. What tires/ size are you running?
@OverlandAdventureTimes2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Tires are Milestar Patagonia M/T, E load range, still a 265/70-17. Hopefully going bigger in the spring, probably 285s or 295s, so 33"ish.

6:22 bro who showed you how to use a tape? Does that look like a straight line? 😅
@OverlandAdventureTimes4 ай бұрын
Not exactly precision cutting lumber here, smart guy. Sometimes approximate , and more importantly doing it the same way each time for comparison's sake, gets the job done.

Hey so i have a 03 gmc yukon xl , about to get new all 4 shocks skyjacker m95 monotubes for performance and weight but if i add your similar 2.5 inch coil springs should that boost me a rear inch or 2? I have moogs in there now and a 2.5 inch front torsion bar lift. Thanks
@OverlandAdventureTimes2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I would expect at least a true 2" over the Moogs. With the Skyjacker coils and .75" spacer, I got a full 3'" over the Moogs. Keep in mind with the shocks, combined with the C25 coils, you'll need the shock extenders, or a shock made for 2-3" of lift. I'd recommend measuring the ride height of the shock after the coils installed to be most accurate, and then compare to your chosen shocks extended and compressed lengths. For example, for where I ended up in actual ride height, the Bilstein 5100 24-185783 ends up being virtually perfect 50% up and down travel. But your exact ride height may differ due to weight, etc. I'm pretty heavy back there.
