These systems don’t come along that often so take them when you can. Follow the steps and your done. Hardest part is the cleanup.

If you had a power screen for you skid you could process dirt on site and invoice for finish dirt with out buying it or trucking it in. I’m doing this for 3 seasons.

I find this stuff so interesting! I have some acreage to clean up at my place and feeling inspired about renting a mini and getting a load of fill dumped. If you ever need to leave a machine in Moncton for the weekend, I know just the right place for it! :)

Nothing about that job is boring. the whole process is interesting to see, as I have worked with it here at home in Sweden. it's fun to see how it works over there in Canada. I would love to come to you and work with what you do. as I said, have driven both Grämaskin and wheel loaders and various types of trucks And I agree, it was very nice weather the days you installed that septic tank and infiltration I follow you with all the things you do Sincerely Magnus Eriksson In Sweden

When we had our septic system put in we had a separate field put in for the washing machine. At the end of that field they bored a hole about the size of a manhole cover down to the ground water level, about eight feet, and filled it with different layers of media. The cover is about a foot deep. Septics were installed in '98 and, knock on wood, never had any issues. Never backed up and never pumped out. Add RidX and keep on flush'n. (We do have water service out here, thankfully.)
@workplaytv

Yeah they typically don’t do separate systems anymore

So, just out of curiosity, when do you plan on pumping your tank out? When things back up and it's an emergency? Is this how septic tanks are supposed to work? Keep filling it up with solids and pack it up til everything fails? I just wanna know what your thought process is.
@workplaytv
@workplaytv Жыл бұрын
@@ryan_torres they say 3-5 yeas depending on daily flow but if the septic is working the way it technically should the solids will continue to break down but I’d pump it to be safe.

@@workplaytv LOL!! I know that... Just wondering what that person was thinking. I know the workings of a septic system. You have the sludge layer at the bottom, then he effluent layer in the middle, then the scum layer at the top. At some point, the top and bottom layers may meet and that will flow into the drain field, which will clog up the drain field. So, yea, that person is basically waiting for the system to fail to take any action. Just my thoughts though. No matter what sort of additive you put in your tank, eventually things will head south.

In BC that would have to be an engineered system being so close to the lake, surprised they let you install a basic system in Nova Scotia. I have never even seen a system with out a D box. Interesting seeing the different standard of systems from coast to coast. You sold the skid steer? That would make quick work for back filling.

Had serious issues with our 100 yr old septic system last week. Eventually resolved but I was gobsmacked that we vacuumed out 24 tonnes from the drains not even touching the tank! No clue as to where it all came from and as the property was part of a farm, I can only guess we have slurry pits or something hidden away.

@@workplaytv well each state tends too have its own standards. But for instance recently there was a period of years m 5-10, where no one no where was allowed to install a new or imorove an old septic system. If you needed a septic system the best you could hope for was a large holding tank bringing oked. That was even if. Of the holding tank had to be pumped out on an approved schedule. Now I believe things are back to a more normal process. I'm not sure we live in the city so we have city sewer and water.
