Installing A Catch Can On The TT... But There's An Issue.

In todays episode we are continuing our quest to rid the TT of it's moisture issue. Ever since we changed the oil in the car, we noticed there was a ton of sludge in the valve cover. This week we finally pulled the trigger on a catch can. Only one problem, it wasn't designed for the 225...

Extra hose you need. This is a name brand one and not an ebay one. Ebay links tend to expire, but you want the larger one from this kit (searching "mk1tt charge pipe hose" on ebay should pull some up) Either will work: www.ecstuning.com/b-forge-par...

for the relays that you left tucked in the fire wall, somethign you can do is actually put them in that long black box with wiring, you can actually tuck it in there and still get it to close so then its just peace of mind, no need to worry whatsoever! did this to mine as well and havent had any sort of complaints or issues with it! keep up the great work, loving the videos :D

A pcv system and catch can are different. All the pcv does is control pressure in the block. A catch can does the same plus separate oil and water vapors from going back to the combustion chamber. A catch can is an upgrade and completely replaces the pcv system.

Ha, you were way ahead of me from my last comment. Nice work! I dont know why, but I also find it so much more satisfying when I find a makeshift solution that works out almost perfect! Saw a comment below mentioning this, but there is plenty of room in our cars to throw those relays either inside the wiring harness tunnel, or even routing them back in and under the rain tray out of the elements. Cant wait to see what else you do! I could use the motivation 😅

If you want your pcv valve to work correctly you need the PRV. Your cap now dances without it.
