Installing a ceiling fan with light kit

Andy gives a quick walk through on installing a ceiling with a light kit. This installation involved a switch for the fan & a switch for the light. Be sure you are wiring it properly. Project takes 45-60 minutes.

That's weird you put the light fixture insulation on the bracket Is it because it improves the airflow because there is like a little gap or is it to protect the wiring from heat? You know one of these things is a good protection against fire.

You are right, I do. Note, this is a fan bracket not just an box. Honestly, it was just the way I was taught to do it. When I was doing this I almost changed it because of the small gap. However it is small & with the lights & blades on you don't notice it.
