Installing a chip in the ILX

I hate to say it but those little obd2 plug and plays don’t do anything except maybe better petal response. If you want an actual 60hp gain you’ll have to use an actual flash tune

It was a 2020. It had the premium package and I don’t know what head unit it had.

I install it middle light blinked them hit stat button this the blinking light went off then I started car let run then middle light turned res and blinks slow then goes off a sec and blinks again. Guy told me it was connected from there customer service etc.

I think we had it about 6 months before she traded it in for another vehicle. It held up for the entire time we had it. We took a trip about 1000 miles round trip. We didn’t have any issues with it and it did help with mileage. I can’t remember the specifics. I would buy it again. I had one for my 2106 KIA Forte, different brand, but they do help some with both mileage and performance.

How much noticable was it? Or was it just a placebo affect? Curious since they don't have a ktuner for this

It made a noticeable difference, power wise, in sport mode. During normal driving, she noticed an improvement in gas mileage. For us, and what it was used for, I would say it was worth the money. If you want a large increase in power, this wouldn’t do it for you.

I can’t really say that it makes it ‘faster’. It does improve the response time a little with the pedal and performance. We never tested it on the track, or off a light.
