Installing a Deck Chute on the Z930M Zero Turn , MULCHING ?

I decided to Install an Advanced Chute System on the Z930M. The chute replaces the original deck deflector but it allows you to open or close the deck discharge.
The box says “Installs in Minutes”, we’ll see how many minutes.

Thanks! This is just what I need. My Z930M blows grass into the mulch beds from 15 feet away and the wife is not too happy about that. Keep us updated on how it performs. Thanks again!!

Hi, Just a follow up question on this project please.... How is this working so far? Did you look at other brands ? What would you do different? I really want to get something for my Z930M...just undecided on the brand at this point. Thank you for any insight you may provide.

The only thing I don’t like about the Deck Chute is it will blow grass out on the front edge of the deck if you leave it closed very long. The 7 Iron Decks have so much velocity that I doubt anything will stop all the grass. I haven’t had to retighten or adjust anything since I installed it. It opens and closes great. I’ve heard others say they like the rubber type better than the Advanced Chute System. In looking at different ones I just liked the fact that it’s built really well , but it’s not the perfect solution.

@@CreekviewAcres Thank you for the quick response. I agree that none of these are perfect, but I really like this one. It appears to be well built, and you just confirmed that. I liked that way you added the rubber strip to help close the gap. Good thinking! Thank you again for your response!

How do you like your Z930M we bought a Z530M and after a short time owning it . I am thinking about trading it in on a John Deere Z930M . The wife thinks I'm nuts . I simply told her Honey you don't understand . She says it just a lawn mower .

Rob, The wife and I discussed it and she said “if it mows ok and gets the job done that’s all that matters” but I told her “you don’t understand, it’s a man thing “ But honestly the 930m is built like a tank and the 7iron deck mows stripes really well. I did look at the Z500’s but there’s no comparison in my opinion Thanks for watching
