Did you install a relay to prevent an electrical fire or melt down?

I thought that’s what the fuse was for. I believe I ran 12 gauge wire and I think those lights only draw 1/2 an amp. Should never have an issue. If the lights drew more amperage I would have used a relay but didn’t feel the need to.

I have added LED lights to my mowers and the kits always come with relay's, fuse's and switch's. I am not an electrician so I depend on what info I get off of youtube and other sources. I thought you might have not videoed the procedure. I have a cousin that wired up some LED's and they did evertually overheat and catch fire. If you google it there is a lot of information but basically you may not ever need a relay but it is sort of fire insurance. Anyway, I enjoyed your video and thought I missed that part of it. Keep up the good video's. @@beesprojects2692

15 amp primary wire, 15 amp rated switch, 10 amp fuse, and the lights draw 1.93 amps combined. So all of the wiring is rated for 15 amps, the fuse is under fused for the wiring to 10 amps and both of the lights draw 1.93 amps. I don’t see a reason why a relay is necessary when the system was sized accordingly.

Thanks for the very informative video. I will be wiring my lights the same way you did with a toggle switch. I also don't want to void my warrenty (just purchased it 3 days ago) by adding any holes and possibly shorts. I am going to add lights where you located yours but will also put a set on the ROPS bar, they will be independent of each other. What size fuse did you install? I really like how tidy the wire loom makes everything look and decreases the chance for shorts. You did a great installation job along the great videoing. Again, thanks for sharing your talent and video, GREAT JOB.

Thank you and Congratulations on your new purchase! They are a great machine… I used a 15 amp fuse because the wire is 15 amp wire.

Sorry to be negative, especially because I am enjoying your content so far, but , background music is fine when your loading up the wood trolley, no so much when your talking.

Why are you showing us farm chores? I want to know how to wire the lights, where to get the power from besides the key switch or the battery

I have been working on making better videos, I hadn’t been making videos very long at this point. I now realize that some people care less about anything other than the subject matter and getting the information they are seeking. Which is why my newer videos are not so drawn out and tend to cut to the point sooner. Sorry you didn’t get what you came for.

Damn I thought that show intervention was on the exact same music. Had no clue it was about storing firewood or I think.
